Great. I get yet another worthless class action coupon. The crooked lawyers get $10,000,000 cold cash.

Here I am, with my 2001 iPod, with the original battery that's still going strong - and it's used every day.
This issue was way overblown.

RUSH is going to force me over the edge to buy a iPod. He starts his Pod-Cast of his show for his 24/7 subscribers tomorrow...

He starts his Pod-Cast of his show for his 24/7 subscribers tomorrow... Wow. That'll probably really piss-off the stations - nobody will be hearing their advertisers if people are downloading complete shows to listen to at their leisure (rather than recording them off the air and getting the commercials too).

I had a battery go bad on me in my 2nd gen ipod. very annoying. Ended up buying a do it yourself replacement battery. & I'll take the $50 as well.
I still love the thing. How can I stay mad at you, iPod?

I bought the original ipod.
After flying off my car at 30 MPH (after I left it on the car roof), it smashed into a few pieces . I retrieved the thing and pieced it back together and it's still going strong.
The scroll wheel is wobbly and the back silver plate is kind of loose, but my ipod is still rockin'.

You don't need an i-Pod. Any MP3 player will do.

I got my iPod Christmas 2001, and the battery never did last more that 4 hours. I've never had any other problems with it, though.

Funny. Palm *still* is taking flak over their non-replaceable batteries. They're not doing anything about it EITHER.
