The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I have no idea why you'd do that. ;-)

LOL!! Oh no!

The jedis went to a birthday pool party and there were frogs mating in their pool!

This pool is SO GOOD for the boys...it's why I put such an effort into it. They really play hard in it and come in hungry and go to bed exhausted.

My folks gave them an xbox and I sent them one picture of them playing it. They gave them this pool and I send pictures of them playing in it constantly.

Steve took them to the city pool this past weekend and they swam like fish, they'd had so much practice.

Actually the waterpark is attached to the hotel. You don't have to go outside at all! The roof is clear, so you'd even be able to get a tan on a sunny winter day. How cool is that?

You should consider swim lessons/swim team for them.

Perhaps ASG. ;-)

It's a thought...it really is. I was thinking more along the lines of snorkeling or even scuba eventually.

You know how terrified I am of deep water. I don't want them to be concerned with it. So far, I must be handling it well, because Mom's fear of deep water is considered something requiring good-natured teasing. It's a source of great amusement whenever we go over a bridge..."Hey, watch Mom freak!"

You get lots of opportunities to scuba dive in Oklahoma?

*shudder*

Ya know, I really enjoy underwater photography and all...but the idea of actually *doing* any scuba diving just pushes allll my claustrophobia buttons. Especially people exploring underwater caves and such.
