It's a thought...it really is. I was thinking more along the lines of snorkeling or even scuba eventually.
You know how terrified I am of deep water. I don't want them to be concerned with it. So far, I must be handling it well, because Mom's fear of deep water is considered something requiring good-natured teasing. It's a source of great amusement whenever we go over a bridge..."Hey, watch Mom freak!"

It looks like my nephew did not develop any fear of water after his drowning episode. Still loves to swim. Apparently my sister-in-law, bless her heart, insisted he wear a life vest at the pool. Guess what? Wear life vest = get no swimming skills = sink like a stone when you take it off.
The only 'negative' outcome seems to be his little sister taunting him.
"Your dead."

"Yes you are. Your dead."
