Oh, yeah. He was a member for years.

BTW, if you want to hear one of the best bands ever, put n some old James Gang. Incredible.

And.....that came off "The Smoker you Drink the Player You Get" album.

Whatever I did in the '70's, it must have caused death to many brain cells.

Takin' my time
Choosin' my lines
Try'n' to decide what to do
Looks like my stop
Don't wanna get off
Got myself hung up on you

Seems to me
You don't wanna talk about it
Seems to me
You just turn your pretty head and walk away

James Gang

And from #1568 Blind Faith

That makes 2 bands I've been referred to on this thread, that I've never heard of .... guess I'll have to stop by Cheap Thrills Records on my way home tonight.

But now, it's time for lunch. Later.

I actually know that dance. We used to go to that midnight movie all the time.

As a matter of fact, I have that dumb movie. My parents bought it for me years ago as a Christmas present. I made my dad watch it. He made it all the way to the cross dressing fest at the end, and couldn't take it.

I was very proud of him.

Oh. And I have the CD, too. Silly, silly.

I tried to watch it when it came out.
I didn't get it.

Then, the flaming gay actor son of one of my mom's friends became obsessed with it. So, I watched it again to see what all the fuss was about.
I didn't get it.

I watched it again a few years ago, to see if I had some-delayed reaction sensitivity that would allow me to understand the attraction.
I didn't get it.

I'm just too darn straight.

Blind Faith is definitely a "musician's band," like Cream or Little Feet.

James Gang is just good old power trio rock-n-roll.

I liked the early 1970s camaros & firebirds. Not as much as the 1960s models though!

BTW, you need a mullet to drive one now!

I didn't get it.

I'm just too darn straight.

And too darn sober. Hey...it was never about the movie...it was about taking half a dozen or more drunken teenagers in a roughly 1:1 ratio of boy to girl, and spending 90 minutes shouting at the screen and laughing your silly head off.

Followed by more of the same at an all-night diner.
