Since we're still stuck in the '70's....did anyone catch the "Eagles Farewell Tour 1" on NBC last night?

I thought it was great. Those guys are OLD, and reminded me that I am too.

Can anyone tell me how Joe Walsh became a member and when?

According to joewalsh.com; "Most recently, Joe has been touring with the Eagles..." No dates.

Glad you asked the question though, I told Mrs. Cowhand last night that I thought "Life's Been Good" wasn't an Eagles song..."I thought it was sung by some Joe somebody."

My memory is good but spotty.

Thanks. Last night Joe Walsh sang Rocky Mountain High...I'm pretty sure that came off "The Smoker You Drink The Higher You Get" album.

Joe Walsh joined the Eagles just before they recorded the Hotel California album, so it was in 1976.

I am not sure how it came about, but he fused new life into what was becoming a pretty tired band.

...Rocky Mountain High...

I tuned in late and my brother called so I missed most of the show and didn't hear it, but by wasn't that a John Denver (speaking of the '70's) song?

I think he meant "Rocky Mountain Way."

It's astounding, time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely, not for very much longer
I've got to keep control

I remember doing the TIme Warp
Drinking those moments when
The blackness would hit me and the void would be calling
Let's do the time warp again...
Let's do the time warp again!

It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane,
Let's do the Time Warp again!

It's so dreamy, oh fantasy free me
So you can't see me, no not at all
In another dimension, with voyeuristic intention
Well-secluded, I see all
With a bit of a mind flip
You're there in the time slip
And nothing can ever be the same
You're spaced out on sensation, like you're under sedation
Let's do the Time Warp again!

Well I was walking down the street just a-having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink
He shook me up, he took me by surprise
He had a pickup truck and the devil's eyes.
He stared at me and I felt a change
Time meant nothing, never would again
Let's do the Time Warp again!
