Disco was 1975 (The Hustle) through the early 80s. I was there and remember it quite well! :-) The height was probably 77-79.

How about "Heaven on the Seventh Floor" by the Adrissi Brothers? Or "Ariel" by Dean Freidman?

OMG, you read my mind. Those, along with "Undercover Angel" were all released the same summer ('77, I think) - the trifecta of awful teenybop songs.
