New Treatment Gets Rid Of Cellulite Saddlebags

PLANO, Texas -- Women work hard at ridding their bodies of cellulite. They press, step and cycle in an effort to drop the saddlebags.

New Treatment Banishes Cellulite

Still, it's a struggle to trim down the thighs and show legs that are free of cellulite.

"I do eat right," Valerie said. "I exercise, but it's just something I can't get (rid of)."

Valerie, who asked that her last name not be used, turned to a relatively new treatment, called LipoLite, to smooth out the ripples behind her thighs. LipoLite is a combination of two of the latest cellulite-treatment techniques.

One threatment smooths out the accumulated fat deposits. The other shrinks and contours the body. The combination can result in a loss of up to four inches.

"There's no downtime to it," Dr. Fiona Wright, a cosmetic dermatologist, said. "You don't go under the knife."

LipoLite, an eight-week treatment program, combines Velasmooth as its foundation and Mesotherapy as a follow-up technique.

Velasmooth incorporates radio frequency and infrared light treatments to smooth out the skin. Mesotherapy, which is a series of injections, increases circulation and drainage.

"I dropped down a size in jeans and now, instead of a curve, it's more of a straight line, which is wonderful because I have never had that before," Valerie said.

After the eight-week program, Wright said the responsibility of keeping the trim look is up to patients.

"It's gone as much as you keep it away," she said. "I tell everyone, 'If I can get you ahead of the problem, it's up to you to maintain it.' "

LipoLite costs about $4,000, but patients say it's worth the price. Some patients have reported visible results after the second session.

Fresh grapefruit juice and two 15 lb dumbells cost less than $4000.

Bragg's apple cider vinegar is also good. A teaspoon in a 6 ounce glass of water and also soaking in warm water with a 16 ounce bottle added to the water. Good for cellulite and leg veins.

Hollywood keeps this trend going because most of the studios are run by faggy men that like the 12 year old boy look.

Real cranberry juice with no sugar added and lots of water each day is a lot cheaper and healthier. Some apple cider vinegar helps, too.

Grapefruit juice won't get rid of fat but it does help cut the appetite, at least it does with me. Sugar in grapefruit is different from a snicker bar but I do understand that some are on the atkins thing. The dumbells aren't for curling, they're for squats that work the butt muscles and help tighten things up. I've never seen cellulite on a woman in shape.

First of all, there is no such thing as cellulite. It's a made-up word for fat. Used as a catch word for selling certain products.

Second, I take aqua aerobics classes several times a week. Those saddlebags have disappeared. Much cheaper.

Ain't no 'Lipolite' made that can dissolve those twin, cement edifices she calls legs.

The problem with grapefruit juice is that a lot of people cannot drink it if they are taking certain prescriptions, like statins.

Cellulite is not necessarily due to being overweight. I have known skinny people with this kind of fat.

I just remembered something about grapefruit, the seed extract will help burn fat. It won't help when sitting on the couch though. I jumprope now and do power walking. I was mortified to see cellulite on my legs but then I was pretty inactive. Pretty gross too *LOL*

Yep you're right. Apple cider vinegar is a good alternative.

They may be skinny but not in shape. I'll bet their eating habits are horrible. I cut out a lot of coffee. Oddly enough caffeine is in cellulite creams.

I've never seen cellulite on a woman in shape.

Then you're not looking, or they're hiding it. My best friend is an aerobics instructor. Teaches 3 classes each day, eats like a bird and cannot get rid of it. Yes, a lot of it is diet and exercise, but studies show it's also heredity. If working out 3 times a day, and eating well doesn't get rid of it, nothing will. (except maybe this treatment, but I'm not holding my breath.)
