3x(x-3)(x-2) Actually it is 3x(x-3)(x+2).

42 I agree!
To: Tunehead54
3x3-3x2-18x = 3x[x2-x-6] = 3x [x2+2x -3x-6] = 3x[x(x+2)-3(x+2)]=3x(x-3)(x+2)

I believe to simplify normally means to factor the polynomial. You did so correctly.

We used "4" in college, not "8", at least in my dorm. That MAY explain my GPA.

I wish I remembered how to do it to help you - I loved algebra. (And I used to be very good at it, but never really needed to use the advanced stuff after I got into the real world.)

Erm. "This is a test" I feel stupid doing someone elses test, doesn't anyone else?

If you are doing her problems; that is a problem.
%&^%&^%&(%)&*^*&^#$%$#@$@%^$%^$#! Uhh ... 'scuse me but when she can't figure something I sometimes try to help - I only got up to matrix algebra before I forgot everything I knew. Lemme ask you this ... does everybody you know think you're a jerk or is it just me? ;-)

Maybe I'm missing something but helping a child on a TEST is called cheating and, in my opinion, reprehensible. Of course, I'm a teacher so my opinion is probably a little stronger than most - I hate cheating.

Maybe I'm missing something...Seems likely...
It says finals are in progress. It doesn't say this is on a final. It also says he ha the answer but can't explain how. Seems likely that this is a study problem. Why else would they have the answer.....

These are "sample" questions - similiar problems may appear on the real test. We r studin and figrin. We have some answers to some sample problems but you have to show (and know)how to get from A to B.
Thanks - I agree.
