I've been waiting for it to be released, too. I wonder what the hold up is.

Terri's parents were denied an independent Coroner. So......who knows?
If anything was wrong, I suppose we'd never be told. It would involve so many prominent people from Florida, it would make Watergate look small. Hospice is a HUGE organization down there.

Whatever became of Terri Schiavo's autopsy?

Down the memory hole, along with John Kerry's military records, Nicole's real killer, Billyboy's "full explanation, sooner rather than later," and the moslem Secret Service agent who was headed to Crawford with a loaded weapon on a commercial aircraft a few weeks after 9/11.

No biggie, just business as usual at the MSM.

You mean the autopsy to be conducted by the Pinellas County Coroner? That was probably written up in advance. Death caused by heart stopping, and "proof" that she had no brain function. No need to look for broken bones or neck damage. I doubt starvation/dehydration will appear anywhere on the document.

When my dad's ex wife died, he had an autopsy done and had to wait on the results before he could get the life insurance. It took them nearly 5 months to get the results and issue a death certificate!

Her autopsy is, in the long run, not the relevant issue. The essential question remains whether a spouse with an obvious conflict of interest should be allowed to pull the plug, based on the flimsy, unsubstantiated claim that his spouse said to do so many years ago.

Bush, DeLay etc., were 100% right to want that question examined anew. The GOP needs to stand firm for erring on the side of life, just as it needs to stand firm on Bolton, Bush's social security agenda, judges, etc.

The jelly knees crowd, or the so-called "moderates" merely enable the Democrats, as we are now seeing on a variety of issues. Thankfully a few Conservative writers are finally starting to grouse about the lily-livered ones...

Forensic Pathologist Dr. Michael Badin said it takes about 6 weeks soaking in formaldehyde before a brain 'stiffens' up enough to allow it to be microscopically analyzed. So don't expect the autopsy whitewash before mid-may.

And you can ABSOLUTELY sure it will be just that, a whitewash. Pinnelas county is geriatric murder capitol of the world. This M.E. was hired by the corrupt county commissioners of which judge Greer came from. They would no more hire an 'honest' M.E. that would Bill Clinton.

Badin also said it would have been HIGHLY advisable to allow other independant pathologists to oversee that autopsy. That tends to end all griping after the fact.
