The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'd like to live in NYC for a time...like six months...just to experience what it's like...just for a little while.

I think after a month, I would have enjoyed it about as much as I could stand. Don't mind visiting, but I don't think I'd want to live there.

Doubt anyone will notice, but if they do..."I did it on purpose."

If anyone comments, ask them, "Why do you care, and more importantly, why are you staring at my socks?"
;o)

drunk kids I understand... kids on amphetamines, I don't trust.

Vey wise, Hair. You just never know these days if they're on crystal meth or some other such concoction, and how that might affect them physically AND mentally.

I got up at dawn and walked as high up as I could to watch the sun come up over the peaks. There's no way to capture that in photos...it was glorious!

*cue music swell*

That's awesome!! I sent it to Clare. She's taking Chemistry at the Community College this semester, so it's timely!

I'm very pleased with this service!

I guess you are! We gotta get our trash cans off the driveway. They picked up the trash while we were gone to Writing Class this morning.

SSQ's paternal Grandmother was of German descent. Weber was the family name. I think they'd settled in Iowa or something. I'll have to find out more.

I just found an Oberstreu.

Never been there.

Just been looking at an old home vid of some friends and I wandering the ruined castle above Kallmunz.

There were just too many of them, and they were in too much of a rowdy mood for me to want to step out and yell "getoutahere" at them, so I'm glad the deputies came.

Racking a round into a pump shotgun means never having to raise your voice.
