Sounds like a great consistency for rice pudding. Instead of custard, use some of that homemade yogurt, mix in the rice, and some cinnamon and sugar and raisins, if your kids like em.
ROTFL!!!
Woot! We found a shop with nifty import food. Rosie will be on to rave soon. I found imitation-smarties and HobNobs, so I'm happy.
Hey! Just got your message! Thank you very much, sir! The chicks will be a hit with the younguns during ShootMoot too!
Matthew named his Yum Yum and Joshua named his Mmm Mmm! Ha ha!
Seriously though, they won't have any contact with them after ShootMoot.
I read that game bird starter will work too...it's 28% protein. I have access to it. I'll make sure I bring supplies. Tote, waterer, feeder. Do you have a heat lamp?
How much do I owe for 'em?
If I need 15ml of 5% bleach in a gallon of water to make 200ppm, how much 6% bleach would I need in a pint of water to make 200ppm?
My brain nearly shut down just trying to type that problem!
Hmmm... let's see. A pint is one-eight of a gallon, right? (two pints = quart, four quarts = gallon). So you'd need a little under 2 ml of 5%. 6% is a little stronger, so I'm guessing about 1 2/3 ml.
gotta heat lamp...
How much do I owe for 'em?
a chicken dinner at yer place...
1.6mls? About?
Howdy folks...
That would be great!
I'm already starting to figure out the setup. These are going to be two short-term but very intense chickens...I have certain goals for them.
First, I want them to make it! This breed has a high mortality rate due to heart failure because of their rapid growth. I have to make sure they stay cool and with water nearby at all times.
I want them to have access to the outside world...the lawn. From what I understand, they will eat all day if you let them and do nothing else. I want some of their feed to be sprinkled on the ground so they'll hopefully graze a bit.
I want their six-eight weeks of life to be pretty nice, you know? I think they'd taste better if they were content...with the occasional bug and some grass in their system.
Think so. If it's really important I can do the exact numbers. But if it's just a rough amount, use that.
It's a dip. I found out online that you can dip your eggs in it and it will sanitize them.
I did 1.5mls, but I think it'd be ok...
1.5 is definitely on the safe side. No worries.
Also, that is the starting suggestion. It says that when your solution gets down to 100ppm, you need to make new solution. (This is for a commercial egg production.)
Well, my stars! 1.5ml of clorox to 2 cups of water...I can make that fresh every day!
Evenin' folkses...
What's this 2J about washing eggs in your footbath thingy? I don't suppose you tell guests that's how you wash the eggs, though... right? :-)
What you need is a golfball washer. :-)
Heh heh heh!! The ones that I experiemented on in my regular vibrating foot bath got tossed down the sink...they were just Aldis eggs anyways. When I start washing eggs in a footbath for real, I'll buy a brand new one that actually has jets.
I can't see spending $200+ on a five gallon bucket that somebody stuck an air compressor hose into.
Hey!! There's a thought!
There's an idea...if they aren't brutal!
Portable ball washer, $15...

[sigh, I got a bad feeling about this... ] :-)
