We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
A new Pope is elected, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger who has chosen the name, Pope Benedict XVI. The libs are whining already about how it could result in continued internal dissension within the church.
President Bush will more than likely be naming Marine Gen. Peter Pace as the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Pace will be replacing Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers. You served us well General Myers. You will be missed.
John Boltons nomination as ambassador to the United Nations is postponed. Remember the names Republican Sens. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska and George Voinovich of Ohio. They are wimping out on us.
That bunch of gutless pubs, putting off the vote on Bolton. Email time to them starting with Lugar. old F--t, he needs to retire. And why do we not get anything done? The pubs are scared of the dims.
Prayers being said for you.
You are one ornery person!!!!!!!!!!
Good morning to you lady, have a good day at work.
Almanzo was born in 1857 and died in 1946. Think about the span of this man's life: He was born before the Civil War but lived to see the dropping of the atomic bomb.
Laura was born in 1866 and died in 1957. She was born during Reconstruction, traveled in a covered wagon, and then died in the same year that Sputnik I was launched.
During their lifetimes they went from meeting native Indians and seeing wild buffalo to seeing two world wars and witnessing the introduction of electricity, the telephone, penicillin, movies, television, air travel and space travel.
Toby, you are in my prayers, always, but today I'll add extra.
Dreadful thing to say.
M., I don't blame you for being angry.
Prayers for you, dear Toby, as always!
Cannot wait to hear your continued rant.
;o)
Perhaps, but you say it with great style and finesse.
Good morning.
And we do????????
The delay gives us time to go after the troublemakers Hagel and Voinovich. Particularly Voinovich, who didn't inform anyone he was going to vote no until the last minute. What a weasel!
Good point, but we say it with style and finesse. :-)
The reaction to Pope Benedict is similar to throwing holy water on vampires. A lot of people's hidden characters are being revealed.
Check out the link in post 2804 this thread for an example.
Here's a couple of snips:
"If he continues as pope the way he was as a cardinal, I think we will see a polarized church," said David Gibson, a former Vatican Radio journalist and author of a book on trends in the church. "He has said himself that he wanted a smaller, but purer, church."
Critics complain Ratzinger embodies all the conservative instincts of the last papacy, but without John Paul's charisma and pastoral genius.
"I think this is the closest the church can come to human cloning," quipped Gibson.
And this:
"The name Benedict XVI leaves the possibility open for a more moderate policy," said the Swiss theologian Hans Kueng, whose license to teach theology was revoked by the Vatican in 1979. "Let us, therefore, give him a chance. As with the president of the USA, we should allow a new pope 100 days to learn."
But Kueng already has formed his judgment: "An enormous disappointment for all those who hoped for a reformist and pastoral pope."
Good morning Neets. I am missing my early morning friends since I have been getting seven hours sleep a night. ...
Good morning,gardner.
