Is it just me or does anyone else wonder at the oil refinery explosions happening at the start of every Spring/Summer rise in gasoline prices?
It must be a spring/summer blow out bonus!
No. Explosions used to happen a lot more often than they do now.
Believe it or not, more news stories do not necessarily correspond to more incidents.
According to BP the explosion and fire will have little effect on gasoline production. Most refineries have different sections to refine specific products, ie, diesel, gasoline, asphalt. Obvious, the affected area was not designated for gasoline production.
Yep
That is the truth. People in non-oil producing states don't realize how dangerous the industry has always been, but it's a lot safer now.
I hate it when Exon blows up Shells' refineries every damn year just to drive up prices. There aught to be a law.
