This forum, over the past few weeks.months has gotten frankly... UGLY! This is a tremendously sad day for many. It is unimaginably sad for the Schindlers, for the many wonderful people who have been outside the hospice for the past two weeks, and it has been very sad for many of us who feel they finally have a place that they are able to voice their opinions and views, on Free Republic.
Terri Schiavo passed away today and in my heart and the hearts of most here, she is now with the Lord. Yet, there are those who feel it necessary to continue on this day, of all days, to blast our Government, the President, the Governor, Michael Schiavo, Felos, Greer, DU, other Freepers and anyone else they can think of... May I suggest that for today, we simply grieve together... We share our hopes and prayers for Terri's family. We pray that Terri has found peace and if need be, we pick up our in-fighting and our showings of the uglier side of Free Republic tomorrow.
I unfortunately feel this thread will not get as much attention as the others but I hope we can, just for today, leave our differences at the door...

E.T., apparently.
I'm in!
I'll pray for the Schindler family. I'll pray for our President and his brother. I'll pray for all of us.
The bashing needs to stop. There's absolutely no sense in tearing each other's throats out as it accomplishes nothing.
Now what am I supposed to do with it?
I'm with you, but you know full well that some emotional cripples here won't stop with the bashing & hysteria.
Right, let's just give all this Evil a great big pass and then the day after we can begin to forget about it.
Not on your life.
Thanks for trying this. Hope it can work! Unfortunately too many people around here have too little self control. But let's hope sanity will prevail.
"If you want to avoid the flames, it's best to take a holiday from this place."
What a truly sad commentary on our fellow FReepers.
Sanity BTTT
Unfortunately, you're probably right but I do love this forum.... It's kind of hard, I almost feel as though many of us here HAVE gone through this together and being a world-wide forum, which can't bring all of us physically together to mourn, maybe we can be brought together technologically to mourn...
ROTFL!!!!! OMG You just made my day BG. thanks!
Perhaps we need a few cute kitty pictures and maybe an entire kitty thread to remind us of the good things in life??
I'm in, too. Thanks,
I won't be going over to DU but I'm wondering what they may have to say about us these days?
If it's too hot in the kitchen...

Nothing but happiness and contentment from me.
I see this as a grieving process. Folks are going to need some time to jump up and down, cry, yell and vent.
It'll pass.
Next week we'll all be kvetching about gas prices or Hillary or sumtin'.
Excellent advice. Though I blushingly confess I can't forbare taking just a wee peek now and then at various peoples' thoughts.
You know it's been funky lately when someone who goes by the handle "Hand em their arse" posts a plea for civility...
