This situation is so lose-lose that things will never be the same. This case will be looked at down the road from vicious realist lawyers and a nightmare will unfold on this nation. Terri is not "braindead." She is not on "life support." She needs to be started treated as a human being, or else things are going to evolve and people are going to criticize what really who decides to live or be taken of life from handicaped conditions.
I won't duplicate what has been said (it is all relevant to how I feel!), but some people are speaking out with misconceptions. People are saying that the Shindlers don't want her to OD on morphine, and would rather her die on lack of thirst. That is just so incorrect. The father was expressing how exhausted he was, and if he had to give up on Terri from lack of legal options, he stated he would rather her be killed by lethal injection. And she barely has had any morphine!
The only thing I wish is to stop her from suffering, whether it be life or death. I wish someone would step in, but if the future holds her death I would rather her die at this very second. She is fighting to live, moaning and crying in discomfort, trying in her limited way to reach out to express that she WANTS TO LIVE.

I put it on my profile page . . . so it'll always be on hand! (I also have a copy on my hard drive . . . this one will be preserved for posterity.)
Nice tag line..........He would be pleased.
Very good. And very convenient. :)
Shelley is a classic.
I've got to get a pic of her leaping into a pond!
That leaping start in this photo is very familiar. LuluBelle looks like she is being shot out of a cannon when I say, Go!
It was fun makin' that one, too. :)
Nice Fuel Bomb photo!

Excellent summary.
I never did get the "stunned" and "beeber like device" thing though. I must have been away from FR that day.
I have seen the original...it was bad...typical paranoid tinfol troll trash, but immortal, like Plan 9 from Outer Space...
It looks something "like" this:
BTW, it's "stuned".
Otherwise, you wind up in a scenario like this:
A bunch of novice dogs on the line. Somebody yells "GO!" (in this case the instructor halfway out of the picture on the left) and three or four dogs all take off at once. "Honor? What's that?" See the two Labs at the end of the line? They both are getting ready to go - the black one's front feet are already in the air. The black one actually got away from his young handler and hit the pond that's just out of the pic to the left - the yellow one's handler managed to hang on but got dragged all the way across the road and into the mud!
Notice that Shelley is the only one sitting down. I have a special tone of voice to send her on a mark, I sort of growl her name under my breath.
LOL.......I still don't get it. Oh well, that's part of the charm of FR; some things are funny in their own right.
Actually I use, "Lu, Get the squirrel!" Go is not a command.
There's a reason for that!
BTW, the Brittany in the foreground went and retrieved the duck all right, but then he ran off into the woods with it and BURIED it.
(The ducks used in hunting retriever training DO get a little whiffy - they are rather expensive as they have to be farm raised. I draw the line at heads falling off and stuff like that though, and so does the dog. "What do you want this for? It's not fit for anything. I wouldn't even roll in it.")
I think the original poster (who must have been on some pretty powerful psychoactive drugs and also couldn't spell worth a hoot) meant "beeper" - talking about customs agents having some sort of electronic device like a pager going off while s/he was crossing the border. IIRC s/he was speculating that they had some sort of stun gun. Or else s/he was just "stunned" generally.
OHHHHH.........ok yes now it's making sense. Yay, another FRism mastered. :)
Thanks,
I was actually on the original thread . . . incredulous and disbelieving what I was reading, but I was there!
