It's been pointed out on another thread that the judge in Florida has ordered nothing by mouth for Terri Schiavo.
First: Is this true?
Second: If so, what is the authority for such an order? Removal of a feeding tube, I can understand, under certain circumstances. This may even be legal in Florida.
But nothing by mouth? This is an order to kill her.
Where does this power come from? Could he order her shot? Could he order a lethal injection?
If not, is it possible that his order is facially illegal?
All Terri all the time here on FR......
I wasn't wrong when I said all discussion is going downhill at this point.
Another dufus vanity.
well giving Morphine to a person being starved and dehydrated WILL ACCELERATE HER DEATH. Same difference but more PC.
Why does she need morphine for "this peaceful process"? I guess they want to kill her quicker now.
I will post something positive, and commend you for tracing out the implications from the premises.
"Lunatic fringe! We all know you're out there....."
No kiddin'. It's just more blather all the time, isn't it?
Amen, Sister Cyborg, amen!
there are a multitude of threads you can busy yourself with if the subject of Terri Schiavo strikes you as irrelavant. Seeya.
An absolutely dopey thread.
Why the hell not? He's a judge and can do what he pleases, inalienable rights be damned. It's not like there's any law authorizing him to starve her to death, but he managed to get away with that, no problem, and the Governor and the President are letting him get away with it.
If we let these liberal activist judges continue I would say yes... a shot for the elderly...etc

I'm interested in the sources of Greer's authority to do what he has done.
I guess ignoring a post is out of the question
wow. freeking troll city. if you don't like terri threads, go to knitting channel or whatever. why drop your sh(t here?
Going downhills? The discussion isn't 'going downhill', it's at the bottom of hill, in a ditch, digging.
Maybe Greer cited Danish Law

I think we need to be a bit more understanding of those of our fellow Freepers who are having trouble dealing with the anticipation that, through the actions of their elected representatives, their own hands are about to be involuntarily stained with the blood of Terri Schaivo.
Bananas... some people should sit back and wonder when they start writing things like this. Terri just received holy communion is it's all but over. Some better get used to that.
