The Outcome is not what we wanted for Terri Schiavo, but we must rest in the knowledge that she is in God's hands no matter what the outcome.
"For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away." Romans 8:38
President's Easter Message
Easter 2005
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
I send greetings to all those celebrating Easter, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice and triumph over death, Christ lifted the sights of humanity forever. In His teachings, the poor have heard hope, the proud have been challenged, and the weak and dying have found assurance. Today, the words of Jesus continue to comfort and strengthen Christians around the world.
During this holy season, we thank God for His blessings and ask for His wisdom and guidance. We also keep in our thoughts and prayers the men and women of our Armed Forces -- especially those far from home, separated from family and friends by the call of duty. May the joy of Easter fill our hearts with gratitude for our freedom, love for our neighbors, and hope for peace.
Laura and I wish you a Happy Easter.

I agree with their decision, too.
Terri may be doing this for us. She is still alive! It's a miracle!
"Saving oor members from thereselves" Talk about liberal protectionist chicken sh!^. A forum is for open discussion as long as it does not get beligerent or obscene they should keep their noses out of it
So you want to pull the plug on the Terri Schiavo threads?
Trixie has spoken.
Thank you for this uplifting message filled with Hope this Easter. He is Risen Allelujia!
Very well stated. It is in God's loving hands and He will turn any unfortunate tragedy and use it as a stepping stone for good.
Have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday.
Who cares what they do at Lucianne? If I wanted to be at Lucianne, I'd be there.
I disagree with LCom staff and have stopped going oer there because of their attempt to shut us off from the news. If you don't like these threads, just don't click on them.
Just going on record here, as my last TS post, that we need to stop eating our own and ourselves on those other emotional TS threads. Too many getting suspended, banned or pulled, egged-on by trolls.
Anyway, Happy Blessed Easter, FReepers!
I don't have a problem with Lucianne.com's decision. By its nature, that site does not promote interaction among posters. By its rules, people are not supposed to respond directly to each other on ANY thread.
I prefer FR's format, but can understand and respect Lucianne's decision to have a less interactive approach.

This is a wonderful example of why I don't post and generally won't visit the LCom website. The smarmy self-righteousness that permeates the website is enough to make you want to gag.
Implicit in this decision by the LCom staff is the assumption that ADULTS cannot restrain themselves and avoid engaging in flame wars or other misconduct. So the LCom staff is going to make sure that adults can't say nasty things by taking away the ability to comment on a specific issue. I have to agree; taking away the ability to comment on "X" subject matter ensures that the (non existent) discourse will be civil.
LCom has admin moderators just the same as Free Republic. Miscreants get booted there just the same as they do here. Actually, thanks to the vigilance of the mods, the Viking Kitties and the R.K.B.A., miscreants get booted even faster here.
The important difference is that at FR, the assumption is that you are an adult and capable of restraining yourself. As such you can address other posters. You can also engage in some fairly spirited debate. And assuming that you behave yourself, you can even be an open and notorious Democrat.
I'll take Free Republic any day of the week.
*shrug* That's why I left Lucianne years ago, as did so many others. Her forum. Her rules. My choice.
What's an ldotter?
It reminds me of "The Village" movie wherein the line "those about whom we do not speak" kept coming up. It is the same kind of nonsense. There was a lot of speaking about the unspeakable in the movie.
People can post articles speaking about the unspeakable but it's going to be wrong for the average person to speak about the unspeakable...'for their own good.'
