If he went in there and got her, at least there may be time for Communion. I don't see how anyone can not be upset at this obvious breach of the supreme law of the land. As a Catholic, himself, I'd think he'd move heaven and earth to do that.

Talking about legal process is about as entertaining as looking at Buddhist monks look at their bellybuttons while chanting. When people FEEL they are getting screwed, they break into a rampage like lopping off heads and stringing up their enemies. They usually reach that point after the rules driven bureaucrats are so onerous that revolt is more attractive than peace with injustice. We have moved one step closer to such a state. Justice is a thing one feels. To babble on solely about legal process is idiocy.

You make my point. Terri's parents were outawyered on this. But lets not talk about those boring legal issues as we insist Jeb send in the tanks (and I doubt the Constitution Party will welcome that line of reasoning).

I've seen several posts from social conservative "christians" and pro-lifers that want to quit playing because of this. You're like spoiled brats who blame the coaching staff because the other team is cheating. Jeb did everything he could do without going outside the law. From what I'v seen, he did try to intervene with force but it was called off at the last minute when the police around the courts insisted they would resist and carry out Florida State's legal ruling.

But go ahead and quit, we've always carried your burdens, and taken political hits from moderates for doing so, but it occurs to me that we might be better off without you. I don't know. The Florida judiary seems to be all screwy anyway. Remember, this is a Florida Supreme Court that had both of its rulings voided by SCOTUS in 2000 Bush V Gore. Voiding a ruling is SCOTUS's way of saying "put down the crack pipe".

Its a seperation of powers issue. What do you do when the Judiciary openly flouts/ignores action by the Legislature? I don't know what recourse there is, but quiting, sitting on the sidelines and letting Hillary appoint more of the same for the next 8 years is NOT the answer.

Speaking of which, while we're lambasting our allies who are helpless to affect Terri's case, anyone have any blame to pass around to GOD? Where is He? Why hasn't He done anything to save Terri? Its in His power to do so, yet He refuses. Will the Religous Right bolt from God as they threaten to bolt from the conservative party?

You're correct that the scumbags are celebrating the murder-in-progress of Terri Schiavo and they will no doubt whoop for joy when the murder is completed because they will believe that they finally "won" something. That's what this is about to them - - they couldn't care less about Terri Schiavo and her family.

However, on the flip side, I really don't believe that all the decent folks who are appalled at the corruption of the liberal courts and the puniness of Jeb Bush and others in this case will feel that they "lost" anything to the scumbags.

I believe they will be genuinely upset simply because an innocent woman was murdered by order of the courts and the people who were supposed to stand up to the corrupt courts and protect her failed. That is, I don't think most people around here really give a rat's behind what the scumbags at DU think. I know I sure don't.
