Terrie Schiavo's own actions will stand as a witness, an uncontestable witness, to her will to live. Who amonsgt us believs we could last eight or more days without water or nourishment? Very few indeed, even in the best of health.

I say, to all of those wo indicate she is vegetative, past feeling or emotion...look at her will to live! I challenege any of those people, any of them, to do what she has done. I challeneg any of them to apply the golden rule to her...to have done unto themselves what they are doing to her.

Her witness, will stand against all those seeking to kill her, and will haunt forever those who had the power to save her but did not. I urge all to consider her fight and her unbelievable will to live. It in itself is becoming a miracle as she continues to live, despite all odds to the contrary.

God bless her, God bless her family...and may God yet touch the heart of someone in power who can save her and preserve this remarkable witness as a miracle of out time...one where she defies the experts and survivies and is rehabilitated beyond understanding.

...and if not...then God bless her soul in Heaven, God comfort those who truly love her and have showed it by their actions...and God forgive our nation and what we have done to her collectively as a people.

Those words ignited the formation of this nation, one nation under God. They trump any legislative act or judicial decision just as surely as the trumped the King of England.

If those same men were alive today who founded this country...this type of thing would either be changed...or the lot of them would be dead.

Jeff, with all due respect, spouses have been making DNR decisions for their wives and husbands for years. No written statement needed. Do you agree?

As to MS being suspect, well let's just say I've seen a few smear campaigns in my day, and this one has all the markings of a dandy. Lots of hyperbole. Lots of statements. But not a lot of fact going around.

Your mind is made up. My mind is made up. I would NEVER compare someone on this forum to Nazis or "Death Cultist" just because they believe in a different definition of quality of life than you/I do.

Would you think it okay for someone to kill me in this manner against my wishes? Even if that was a possibility?

I asked my father what his reaction would be if I was being held in a location and he absolutely KNEW that my life was still viable, yet others were actively trying to kill me.

FreeRepublic does not allow me to post what his reaction would be. As my reaction would be if someone I loved was being MURDERED by these actions, against my/their wishes.

I honestly do not believe that is what is happening here. If I did, I would be on your side.

I'm sure you disagree. So be it. Hopefully we can still call each other friend after this is over.

May God heal their fears and their anger,
so they are able to one day forgive Michael

Exactly, as they say... once you pull the plug on PVS patients they die in a short period of time.

I guess Terri wasn't in a persistent vegetative state... or, she was in a healthy vegetative state. Go figure.

It is excruciatingly painful for many of us. A million times worse for the Schindlers and worse yet for Terri. I don't know how they stand it. May God continue to give them strength and Bless and comfort them.

If Terri had recieved the rehab she required, she might well be recovered today. Somehow people like yourself seem to discount this possibility.

That being that my wishes be known, as they are, that I would NEVER want to live like Terri is "living". My wife and my father are all of one mind on that with me.

I suspect any rational person would make that same choice...Maybe Terri did...

However, being in that predicament, a person who is able to understand (and I believe Terri understands) may have a change of heart...
