The US should be supporting the Chavez government, not hindering it. He is not a "Commie" or a "dictator," but a popularly elected leader who is using the Democratic process to correct long overdue injustices for the people of Venezuela.
Members of Free Republic, do not be swayed by the propaganda spewed by the enemies of Chavez. Was Patrick Henry a "Commie?" Was Washington? Was Jefferson? Of course not! Neither is Chavez, who is a genuine Venezuelan patriot bringing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to the Venezuelan people.
