My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning y'all!
Spring Ball
© By Abbey R. Ferrier
The breeze get warmer,
The days wax longer,
The spring ball is about to begin.
Each tree suddenly peaks to see whose dress it complete.
The fir tree, pine needles so sharp and delicate,
Showing off its pinecones at the end of its branches.
The wise maple, leaves as big as elephant ears,
But the most beautiful, the cherry blossom.
All trees stare and snap at her beauty.
The spring ball is about to begin.
The sun beams dance off the dew drops
as the trees sway to the music of the wind.
The evergreen trees stare in amazement
at beautiful colored gowns,
Each embarrassed to ask his lady to dance.
As the ladies are asked
their blossoms turn shades of pink.
The spring ball is about to begin.

April is Poetry Month
Trees by Joyce Kilmer
1 I think that I shall never see 2 A poem as lovely as a tree.
3 A tree whose hungry mouth is prest 4 Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
5 A tree that looks at God all day, 6 And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
7 A tree that may in Summer wear 8 A nest of robins in her hair;
9 Upon whose bosom snow has lain; 10 Who intimately lives with rain.
11 Poems are made by fools like me, 12 But only God can make a tree.

Good morning, Lair!
WaitingJohn Burroughs
Serene, I fold my hands and wait,
Nor care for wind, nor tide, nor sea;
I rave no more 'gainst time or fate,
For lo! my own shall come to me.
I stay my haste, I make delays,
For what avails this eager pace?
I stand amid the eternal ways,
And what is mine shall know my face.
Asleep, awake, by night or day,
The friends I seek are seeking me;
No wind can drive my bark astray,
Nor change the tide of destiny.
What matter if I stand alone?
I wait with joy the coming years;
My heart shall reap where it hath sown,
And garner up its fruit of tears.
The waters know their own and draw
The brook that springs in yonder height;
So flows the good with equal law
Unto the soul of pure delight.
The stars come nightly to the sky;
The tidal wave unto the sea;
Nor time, nor space, nor deep, nor high,
Can keep my own away from me.
