This was an email forward.
I took the names out for privacy. I had to post, too sweet!
Copy and edited:
A lady found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have been hit by a car)... her Ridge Back dog is helping look after it. The family named the fawn Bella. Once she has regained her strength (she was not in good shape when the family found her) they are going to send her to some friends who (in the past) raised two orphan deer and released them to the wild. Right now she is being bottle fed. Their dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even shares his bed.
I do. But babies don't qualify ;)
You are right. Sweet.
Rhodesian Ridgebacks are really sweet dogs. If I didn't have a lab, I think I would consider one, although they are even bigger than labs. We found one roaming a while back and I named him Big Foot.
Fortunately, we were able to return him to his owner.
Ohhhhh, thanks for sharing this.
If a dog THAT BIG wants to make nice with a little bite-sized snack, well who am I to say that this is unnatural? :)
AH! The forgery has been proven. Oh the humanity.
That is it. cuff me, remove the thread...
Teasing O. This was just a light hearted thread and I'm busting.
I am hearing now that the one pic has been around the net for awhile. So they might be older than I realized. I do have an email up for the timing.
These are sweet. I'm just enjoying.
That's a pine tree....... :)
Not the pine tree...the liberal trees on the left of the pine tree. ;^
Thank you for sharing.
If you can't have your own deer, then get a Nubian goat.
They are fun too.
Department of Natural Resources or similar government entity. The animal cops. They're funny about people caring for wild animals. It's as if they preferred the animal die rather than be cared for. Every state isn't like that.
Maybe there are others who know what I'm speaking of.
I've not been able to choose a dog yet. We have some sort of homing device (similar to lojack) attached to us that homeless animals are tapped into.
We are on our 3rd dog that found us with a story and 9 cats later that have found us with a story.
No, we don't hold all those animals currently, that is just our tally card.
I would love, one day to be able to choose a dog. But we are stuck with the dumbest dog that ever lived. Fortunatley she is sweet enough to have earned her status as a family member.
"If you can't have your own deer, then get a Nubian goat."
Nope..........nope.............NOT gonna touch it.........nope...........
That was my plan!
;)

Hubby is in the middle of starting a position with a hospital. We might be moving for closer commute.
I'm 100% intrigued with dairy goats after doing some library papers. I'm entertaining the goat thought. If we do move for the commute, it will be to property to maintain that idea.
Ah. Thank you. I assumed; but wanted the new translation.
We have animal cops too; but by different letters.
They lived to be 12 & 13, thats pretty old for Ridgebacks. I always planned to get another but then I got into Jack Russels. Ah. So many puppies so little time.
I love those pictures!..Thanks for posting!
Thanks, Mike. I will have to show this to my daughter. So cute. They both look quite content.
It's the protein mixed in with the carbohydrates that I hate.
lol
Hey if you get goats you don't have to mow the lawn either.
:-)
LOL
Good time to practise self control.
