They're really, really good. The guys will all be my slaves.
I won't use the word, "karma", but those knives went out with our thanks and blessings upon them. Maybe a little bit of it is headed back our way.
I was just telling the boys about it. Told them that I bought the air box for a guy that couldn't find one cheap. It cost me about $11 for the whole thing, air box and shipping and all. I declined any payment.
I told them that we'd done something nice for that postman's boys and he never forgot it. I said that doing something nice for the guy that needed the air box would likely be the same way...he'll probably never forget it and in turn, he'll hopefully do something nice. Maybe not even for me, but that's beside the point. Others have been nice and done things for me and my family in the past.
I just think it's a great lesson for the boys.
You wish! ;o)
Lalalala, I'm taking them to anime club's anime lockin. Eight hours of stuff. Some of it'll be good. Last night we watched an episode of that hideous live action Sailor Moon - you like that, don't you? It was too dumb for us to even mock!
Then we watched Bleach. Much, much, much better. Half of us are planning to go as characters from Bleach to the con next year.
How's homeschooling going with Erin? Clare is beginning to think seriesly about going to college, and I'm reminding her of the pile of work she still has to do before she graduates. We got her signed up for Pre-Calculus at the Community College for the first summer session. During the second half of the summer, I'm taking her and one of her friends to Japan for a couple of weeks. Clare's homeschooled friend, Erin, is moving there with her family for a year or two. Her mom was thrilled that I'd be willing to fly over with the girls so Erin wouldn't feel so alone. We're fortunate that we have enough points on the credit card to be able to buy two plane tickets. Though, when you think of how much money that represents, it's kinda sad. ;o)
Yeah, we know that, that's why I called the builder a bastige!! We didn't realize he hadn't put it on there until we lost a few shingles During a HUGH wind storm. Fortunately we had a stack of shingles in the basement that were left from construction, so we just stuck them up there.
Yeah, you'll have a hard job, but you won't have to be so far up in the air to do it!
I wanna visit Japan... someday... after I have a chance to learn the language...
I guess you only saw the first episode or something. Having watched the whole thing I would say Bleach (which I also like) does not hold a candle to it. When I showed it to some people at the last con they were very mocking... at first. By episode 5 the mocking had died out and by episode 15 they were still watching :D
See ya, Jen! I'm logging off for the weekend. Steve is on his way home and I want to get the house a little spiffed before he gets here!
Have a nice weekend, everyone!
Oh, I just remembered. Steve has that darn creek cleanup tomorrow so he won't be home for a while...I'll probably check in.
Good weekend, then!
I don't believe you. It's an in-joke ;-)
No, I know the people who brought it last night really liked it but sorry, it's just not my thing. At all. Ever.
Bleach is about the best thing that showed this fall. Not sure what I'm going to like this season, but Full Metal Panic 3 starts this summer.
Had to log back online to tell you that!
Do you know how to split coral bells? The instructions say "by offshoots or root division" and "throw away the woody part". The offshoot is on the woody part!
I have mangled up my two; your's is safely in a container!
Also, how many daylilies do you want? I have identified about 10 that we could bring over, but I don't want to overwhelm you.
Do you want any daffodils? They have finished blooming but I could bring 'em over if you would them.
OB says "hey"
No. I've never had coral bells before.
Bring all the daylillies and daffodils that you want! the only things I have blooming around here are weeds. (What? Don't you like ornamental dandelions?)
BTW....do you like or are you allergic to strawberries? You'd better speak before the final dessert decision is made. :)
"Hey!" to Dan. Give Gypsy and the cats a pat.
