Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's shed, Jim.

That is exactly what they were thinking because I had just discovered my camera did not want to do timer mode and I filled it around backward and took the shot by holding it at arms length. Which is actually something that camera is designed to do. I was all, 'No problem I can flip it backwards and take it like this.' and they were all, 'You can do that?' in exact quotes but it covers the expressions.

It's not dead, just sleepin'!
Literally, I just woke up! I can't hardly type I'm so bleary and it's almost 9am!
Good morning!! Good morning!
Only one more day till the weekend. VW Club meets again this weekend and we're going to join. They go out to eat afterward, which I got the impression that is the only reason they have the meeting...just so they can all drive their classic cars and go out to eat. LOL
Talon!! Great picture! Thank you so much for posting it!

Corin is walking on the edge. I just returned the document from the other day with the boss's edits. On the cover memo I said (okay, it's paraphrase of what I said):
"This is why all of the professionals in my area of expertise say what you wrote here is incorrect."
282 Days. And #3!! yes I'm counting!
To: Corin Stormhands
I have no clue when Rosie and co will arrive. Hopefully soon! I'm guessing, between 10 and noon. Will let you all know as soon as I do.

Woo hoo! Good news. Remember how po'd I was with my dentist after I got the final bill? I sent him a letter and told him I'd make partial payments until the extra was covered, but that I was moving to another dentist.
He just called me personally and said "we screwed up." Apparently insurance had not paid for one of the crowns. Plus he admitted they should not have taken those x-rays when they knew I'd maxed out my benefits.
Anyway, after that phone call, I'm about $400 to the good, and I don't have to change dentists.

I love when things work out like that! :-D

Yep, about another $20-30K to go and I'm home free...
(that's not all dental bills)
To: RMDupree
Never fear! Plus I'll get her set up with internet access before I leave for school - temporarily we can hardwire her, I guess - so maybe she'll tell you about the trip herself.

We had a windfall too... when we did our taxes. We thought we were going to have to pay a significant amount because of Bruce's untaxed web income, but as it turns out, we had enough withholding to cover it, and we actually get a little bit back!
To: Corin Stormhands
Tell me... I'm sure you appreciated getting the money back - but I'll bet it was the phone call and apology that made you not switch. Was it?
So many problems in life could be solved by people being courteous.
