Only if I'm one of the kiddies...
Morning, all. Lovely day here. I'm exhausted and have cuts of the tips of two fingers so typing hurts. Not that I have a choice, right?
All I'm sayin' is if'n the boss wants to rewrite every flippin' word of a document, why the heck don't he just write it to begin with...
"Corin, this needs considerable edits."
"Boss, you can kiss my considerable @$$."
Previous boss signed everything I gave him as written. I swear if I turned in a resignation letter (mmmmm...resignation) this one would edit it before he'd accept it...
How many days left? ;-)
Heh!
Just reading the Peter Jennings thread...there sure are a lot of mean-spirited Freepers out there...and there sure are a lot of overly-pious ones too.
I've always thought of Peter and Dan as "the Enemy". Just as much so as Saddam and OBL. Would I feel pity if either of these two got cancer? I guess I probably would...but then again, maybe I wouldn't.
It's a quandry for me that I'm still struggling with. On the one hand, I am angry at the damage he's done to the country and on the other hand, I feel pity for him as a Christian.
At least I admit that I'm going back and forth, not overly on one side or the other. It seems the extremes on either side are the only ones that post. Maybe there are others like me who just don't feel the need to voice it, or perhaps can't find the words to explain it. It's hard even for me.
283. But roughly only 175 at work...
Not that I'm counting.
Not counting at all :-)
Sigh... spent this month's discretionary income on an oil change and tire rotation yesterday. Oh well. Next month I'll have more money.
Being a cancer survivor, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Okay, so maybe I wouldn't grieve for Osama.
But as distasteful as I may find Peter Jennings, I can't rejoice in his illness. I argued with the same horrid freepers the day Hillary collapsed, before we knew it was the flu. She's evil incarnate, but I can't get my thrills from human suffering.
Katie Couric gets a lot of grief for her on air colonoscopy. But, she lost her husband to colon cancer and she lost her sister to cancer as well. She's done a lot of good with her advocacy.
This is the only place I even feel safe enough to voice my turmoil...and I hope it says something that I have turmoil...not just outright hatred of the man.
He's about to endure a nighmare. And given the current focus on death in America, it will be very interesting how the media approaches his ordeal.
*Although, let it be said I'm not a very good Christian because I draw a line at the likes of OBL and SH. I pity them not a bit and wish them the very worst.
LOL! I can see where you might be sensitive about the subject, give your screen name. ;o)
I understand your turmoil. And you're safe here.
Speaking of which, what's the latest word on Tony Snow?
Haven't heard. Would like to, though.
Hope he's doing well. Chemo sux.
Wooo Hoooo! The adventure continues...
Whoo-hoo! Did they tell you whether they planned to press through today?
Guess that's your bona fides, too. Coming to ShootMoot?
Looks like almost 12 hours of driving time from Coralville to Ft. Collins. Do you think they'd go that far in one day? My guess is they'll stop somewhere tonight and come in tomorrow morning.
Glad you got to meet up with the travelers! Rosie always wanted to have some more Mini-Moots with Hobbit Holers. She got two of them on this trip!
I'm back from droppin' off Homer at the vet.
I said "I think he has yeasty ears... and he's horrible about it. I think you're gonna have to sedate him." They didn't even look, they just took my word for it and said they'd call when he woke up.
Poor guy.... The mournful looks he gave me...
