Being a cancer survivor, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Okay, so maybe I wouldn't grieve for Osama.
But as distasteful as I may find Peter Jennings, I can't rejoice in his illness. I argued with the same horrid freepers the day Hillary collapsed, before we knew it was the flu. She's evil incarnate, but I can't get my thrills from human suffering.
Katie Couric gets a lot of grief for her on air colonoscopy. But, she lost her husband to colon cancer and she lost her sister to cancer as well. She's done a lot of good with her advocacy.
This is the only place I even feel safe enough to voice my turmoil...and I hope it says something that I have turmoil...not just outright hatred of the man.
Well, if suffering is the issue... can we wish for a sudden, massive heart attack? I had an uncle go like that... he and his wife came home from a party, he went into the living room while she went into the kitchen. She was talking to him from one room to the other when she heard a noise, went in to the living room to see what was wrong and found him dead on the floor. No warning, no pain, just "thud" on the floor.
ok, ok, just kidding about wishing it on anybody... mostly...
