Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yes, the moment we walked into the funeral parlor, we could hear the laughter and lively conversation...and the cocktail party hadn't even started yet! The funeral was Anglican, which is, I believe, the closest denomination to Catholicism.
Prayers for the Pope, I thought him a good man.

Yeah...but I'm gonna snipe it if I can...
Isn't that what it's called? Sniping? Where you bid in the last few minutes?

She will be waylaid, and stuffed with manicotti.
Or something else to her liking.
There may be photos.

Still in Vt right now!
The other day at Borders, I used my Christmas present gift card to get a couple books and a dvd of "Much Ado About Nothing" which remains my favorite Shakespeare play. Just finished watching it. Excellent film, excellent dialogue. Sigh... I still have such nice memories of Shakespeare class - the highlight of my high school days, I think. Though I wish things had turned out a little differently for me there.

Looked there...so far none of Merry and Pippin (why didnt they create separate ones, instead of the two of them joined at the hip?) I guess I will have to keep looking...

Really? Such an item must be in high demand... no, seriously, I'm surprised they made such a thing. Flat Frodo I almost get, flat M-and-P I don't.

Well, I'm off. After work I'll be going straight to Elkhart; this will take about two hours. I have a room there already, and a borrowed cell phone (Rosie has the number).
Sometime tomorrow, Lord willing, she'll call and we'll decide based on the time exactly where to go.
I should be back tomorrow evening, with news and photos.
Kinda hope I find a way to freep there, but if I don't...see y'all tomorrow.

Gooooood morning, happy Monday. 'Tis a beautiful day here; wish we could have had weather like this over the weekend. *sigh*
To: Lil'freeper
It rained BUCKETS on Saturday night, but thankfully, didn't start until well after we got home with the concrete mixer. We didn't have to load it, or drive it home in the rain!

Beautful day here. Looks like Spring has finally arrived.
Can I go home now?
