We went July 4 one year for the big battle. The heat index was off the scale. They were carrying guys off the battlefield on stretchers... for heat illnesses. That year was unusual, but made quite an impression.
'tis also a great place for biking, if anyone is so inclined.

Rome would be the most interesting place, I imagine.
And Americans aren't as vilified in Italy as they are elsewhere.

Yes, thought it was a great movie here too, one of my favorites from last year.
The second disk had a lot of funny extras...

Wow.... quite a trip!
I'd do it by mule, if I do ever get around to going again now!
ecurbh promised me we would never have to travel again ;~D
To: ExGeeEye
I'd like to do a moot of some kind some time at Gettysburg... Oh sure. Then why don't we just travel on down to Appomattox and finish me off...
And that's all I have to say about that.
;-)

Becky loves DVDs that come with a simple game. This one didn't have one, I think.
She still pops on movies from time to time, just to play the game under the special features.

I could try Googling it, I guess... but... that would be really geeky. :P Lemme know when you find it. ;-)
(delayed response, thought of that one whilst I was puttin' Luke to bed)

My kids are in bed, sleeping peacefully. Thank God!
It's almost eleven, so I'm gonna head to bed myself.
Good night everyone!

Doh! Looks like you were right... I thought so. My dad used to watch the "Twilight Zone." And we watched "Night Gallery" for a while. The only one of those I remember was the "Sin Eater" (that may not be the title.

I've actually seen that ep, during one of SciFi Channel's Twilight Zone marathon showings. (I've only seen the original TZ in syndication.) I just didn't remember it until I Googled it and found the description.

You know, the gay dudes were the only ones last episode who actually stopped, got out of their car, and stood around like idiots when the brothers rolled their car. I mean, the cameraman was practically dying out there and Rom and Amber drove by laughing.

After a sister spent an entire half of a school year reciting the details of the battle of Gettysburg, down to who was wounded when, I vowed to never, ever go to Gettysburg.
'Sides, it's too "close to home" for me. I want to do things in wild and crazy places. For me, anything PA is still home-turf and anything Colorado, new and adventurous.

Gettysburg is an beautiful place. Looking down on that long field from up on Little Round Top is an awesome thing.
