In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I just remembered to dig out the school calendar after our discussion last night...........There was never a plan of Easter break to be anything other than Good Friday and Easter Monday. My mistake, I know they were off th entire week last year.
Nor had school been scheduled to be closed President's day.
Beats me. But teaches me to pay a bit more attention, doesn't it?
I think Miss Slippy and xs must have both bought their calendars from the same discount store.
how very LINEAR you are to be so hung up on a numerical assignation as it pertains to a given point in time.....; )

High Court Ends Death Penalty for Youths
The more I see of the rulings of Bader-Ginsburg, Breyer, Souter, and Stevens, joined this time by Kennedy, the more I am convinced that any attempt to argue the rule of law or the Constitution before this court is the equivalent of casting pearls before swine. This group rapes liberty every time it gets the chance. No matter how they may parse legal definitions and rationale, they simply don't grasp the simple truth spelled out so clearly in the Constitution. I would expect to hear Norman Lear spouting the infantile babblings opined by the majority in this case, but to think that the logical leaps revealed in this ruling eminated from jurists who purportedly studied the law is so outrageous that it makes me want to scream. We need to get some reasonable judges confirmed immediately, and we should no longer spare leftist senators any quarter whatsoever when they obstruct the confirmation of qualified constitutional constructionist judges from to the bench.
judicial rant ping
Q: What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 60?
A: Your Honor
Prayer going out. Blessings.
Thank you.
My eyes rolled away and I seem to have grown tentacles.
Most embarrassing.
