Pornography: Where one adult pays two adults to have sex and brings a camera, This is legal.

Pornography has been around for over one hundred years, since the time of the camera,

but it has only been the last few decades where it became the money making industry that it is today. And today's pornography is much much worse.

It's an opinion question, you answer, give your reasons. Is it free speech or not? Why. And where is the line drawn? Has pornography promoted homosexuality and unsafe sex? Or is it a privacy issue?

Now, in my opinion, you're not focusing on the real issue, and that is do citizens of the United States have a right to publish, print, purchase and read pornographic material?
Should it be left to the States? Or would that be detrimental to national cohesiveness if one or more states voted to legalize it while the others did not?
Some would undoubtedly compare it to liquor laws in the counties of various states. Interestingly in a lot of those dry counties in the South one will usually see one or two of those tacky 'XXX Turn Here for Porn' shacks from the interstate.

True,re the internet,but NOT true at all re porn being illegal in the past.

Up until the late '50s,porn and erotica WAS illegal and easily,through laws,kept out of most people's hands. And it was NOT "pointless" at all,to keep that kind of thing away from most people.It actually was the civilized thing to do and worked very well indeed;even IF some excluded things were relatively harmless and they were.

What jurisdiction should the government have over private affairs? And if those affairs lead to consequences (STDS, morally deficient people, promiscuous sex, sodomy) does the government have a right to regulate it and on what level?
