Ok, to the guys I am pinging this article to: This is the type of article I will be looking for and posting. It is General Technology and It's Impact on You type of stuff. I will begin scouring regular news sources such as Popular Science, Scientific Amreican, etc. as well as some top technology sector companies sites press releases. I hope this will be a good ping list and thread starter. I want to contribute something to FR and something that I am interested in, and think this could be it. So, again, I hope you folks like the info and my 2 cents.

I saw this article a while back and thought WOW that is pretty darn neat. I think there are some very innovative and certainly efficient uses of current and of course near future technology. What I mean by near future technology is that which is currently being R&D'ed but not yet out in the general public. This one, OLED, is a biggie. You will soon begin seeing OLED in everything from cell phones to laptops to outdoor displays the size of a small skyscraper. It is a wonderful technology that will revolutionize the industry as much or more than LCD has. There is another technology that some may be interested in looking at as well, it is called Carbon Nanotube Display technology and it could be even more revolutionary in it's low cost, efficiency, and performance than OLED is. Here is an article on it:

Thanks for your input guys. Here is a sample of what I will be posting. Let me know. Oh, and neb52, I will get on the wireless snoop immediately. I am trying to connect my wireless access point to my wired network now and am having some difficulty, so I am hoping the research will be helpful as well as informative to FReepers.

Put me on the ping list.

This nano-technology is a fundamental revolution in materials science, I can't wait until the first space elevator is built, but there will be a thousand other applications for it as well.

I am using a Linksys AP with a Linksys 4 port router. I think I may have it figured out, but if you have any suggestions I would love it.
