I'm a 28 year old conservative. I've been active here for quite a few months now. The more I hang around the more active I get. I've really got it out for the ACLU!
So I'm posting a vanity, because most of the activist here call me a youngster! I'm wondering how many of us here are under 30! So if you see this post, which many will not, cause I can't post garbage like this on the main forum, let me know if you are under 35! I'm just curious how many of us there are!
If you know any young freepers ping them to my thread.
And by the way I'll take advantage of this vanity to promote my blog...visit it and leave a comment.

I remember those phones, too.
And when I was going to school at night in the early 80s, I wouldn't sign up for any class that met on Thursday, because I wouldn't miss Hill Street Blues. VCRs were available, but were so expensive I couldn't afford one.

You're awfully new to be part of the apostrophe police, but since you're from Texas. . . . ;-)

We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like that time I took the ferry over to Shelbyville; I needed a new heel for my shoe. So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickle, and in those days, nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war; the only thing you can get was those big yellow ones.

"Even if we can't do a weekly thread on the main page, we can always do one here! What day will we do the thread? Any volunteers to start it? Or just whoever gets to it first? Pick a day of the week folks."
I'll help.

By the way, does anyone know who the youngest FReeper is? I've wondered if it is me. Tax Chick, how old is your daughter? I know she posts here occasionally.

Anoreth will be 14 in March. She reads FR pretty regularly, but only posts on occasion. Teen book discussion is her big thing online!

How many are on quam1's ping list? As of today 208
It would be interesting to know how many gen x'ers there are.
44 million
But if you mean my list
I never did a poll on age of the members (Though many people tell me when they sign up)
But a guesstimate
As expected the Bulk of the members are in their late 20's and their 30's
I do have a lot of members who are in the 40-45 age range (We've had the discussion many times that Gen-X really starts in 1961, So I have a lot of members who were born 1961-1964)
I also do have a lot that are less than 25 years old
And I even have a few that are older than 50
How many freepers are there period?
You are the 173360 person to sign on to Freerepublic.
You find this by going to your home page and clicking on "In Forum" and the id= at the end of the link (i.e. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?id=173360) is your Freeper number, So if you can find somebody who signed up today go to their home page and click In Forum and you can find out how many total people have signed up (Of couse a good % of those who signed up were trolls and got Zotted pretty quickly, So the current # of active Freepers will be less).

You are added, Welcome to the Ping List and yes you can add me to yours.
As for combining them, Probably not a good idea. Gen-X right now is in the age range of 24-40 (or 44 depending on your definition). As such, the articles I my Ping on my list are geared towards the late 20's - 30 somethings, so I don't ping articles about the 18-25 or younger Gen-Y demographics (i.e. No College or teen articles). I prefer to keep it that way so by all means take it. I'm sure we will have many crossovers.
BTW, There was a while ago a young Conservative bump/ping list called The 20somethings List, I don't know what happened to it and I don't think anyone is running it anymore, But it still has the Keyword in use 20somethingslist . When you do a ping be sure to add it to the Keywords.

Well a young conservative list would include your age group too. So if you ever get pinged for that thread you should ping your group too!
