"Not to pry or anything but I think this is the second post of yours that I've read where you mention doing time in prison...

Ummm....what happened?, (if you don't mind me asking)"

Got busted making a 329 pound drug deal. Cost me 74 months.

Nah, been living alone for the last eight years.
Just me and my dog.

Curtis Sliwa of Gaurdian Angels and WABC Radio fame was getting married for the THIRD time. I was his last caller while he was still a "free man". I told him he didn't need to get married because I figured out his problem, "Curtis, you just don't like to eat alone. Get a dog and let it sit at the table."

I also asked, "What have you been using as a pick up line? "Hi, I'm Curtis, would you like a house?"

Last I suggested that he cut to the finale and save all that time getting married, "Find a woman you dispise and give her a house."

329 pound drug deal.

That's a big one!

I can't say that I've never done anything like that, (nothing of that magnitude) but that was a long time ago in a different life. I hope you get it behind you and live and learn...

Good luck to you.

Precious, if that's your picture at the top of your profile page, it's no wonder you're lonely.

I may get a new girlfriend in March.

Just kidding.

When I first returned to the US to live as an adult (I was born here, but lived outside the country for many, many years), I got myself an apartment in Pasadena. My first piece of mail to my address was a Valentine's Day card -- but to the previous occupant-- it wasn't even for me. That made me feel so horribly lonely.

Flash forward a couple years-- I found the right person and am so very, very happy. All things will happen in time. It sounds corny, but its true.

Love does come to loving people. But it comes on its schedule.

Try not to let the valentines day get you down. It's just another day. It makes you think about things more than usual. Just be glad you don't have someone nagging at you and making you miserable. Your wait for the right person will be worth it.

Hmmm, well, perhaps you might want to consider updating your personal page picture!

Princess Leia didn't date any Wookies you know.

Somehow I'm inspired to post a link to this video:

By myself alone, but never lonely.

Don't let the commercialization of Valentine's Day get you down. It's far better to be alone than with a jerk.

The following poem was not found in an old Baltimore church:

Introduction

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.....
Deteriorata! Deteriorata!

Go placidly
Amid the noise and waste.
And remember what comfort there may be
In owning a piece thereof.

Avoid quiet and passive persons
Unless you are in need of sleep.

Ro-tate your tires.

Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself
And heed well their advice,
Even though they be turkeys.

Know what to kiss.....and when!

Consider that two wrongs never make a right
But that THREE.........do.

Wherever possible, put people on hold.

Be comforted that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment
And despite the changing fortunes of time,
There is always a big future in computer main-te-nance.

Chorus

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.

Remember the Pueblo.

Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mu-ti-late.

Know yourself.
If you need help, call the FBI.

Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
Especially with those persons closest to you.
That lemon on your left, for instance.

Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls
Would scarcely get your feet wet.

Fall not in love therefore;
It will stick to your face.

Gracefully surrender the things of youth:
The birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan
And let not the sands of time
Get in your lunch.

Hire people with hooks.

For a good time call 606-4311;
Ask for "Ken."

Take heart amid the deepening gloom
That your dog is finally getting enough cheese.

And reflect that whatever misfortune may be your lot
It could only be worse in Milwaukee.

Chorus

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.

Therefore, make peace with your god
Whatever you conceive him to be---
Hairy thunderer, or cosmic muffin.

With all its hopes, dreams, promises and urban renewal
The world continues to deteriorate.

GIVE UP!

Reprise

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.

"It's far better to be alone than with a jerk".

No truer words were spoken.

I was married 22 years and they were the loneliest 22 years of my life.

There's worse things than being alone...

You mean I was finally right?!?!?! LOL

I was married 22 years and they were the loneliest 22 years of my life.

Sometimes you have to have been there to realize that. Some people are looking for happiness in another person. If you can't be happy with yourself, by yourself, you aren't going to magically be happy with someone else.
