God/quantum mechanics and relativity

Posted on 02/07/2005 12:33:21 PM PST by Ibredd

Is there a God and creation or is there no God. I think the bottom line on this is EGO. If one believes there is no God then he can be as big as he pleases in his own eyes and may try to make himself look bigger to others by throwing around terms like quantum mechanics and relativity. Then If there is a God then he is just a small part of the whole sum.

Now make it come to life and sing.

He used to be able to do that, until he learned quantum physics.

Woah.... you're going down hill here on punctuation and understandability.

Put the bong down, back slowly away and go get that gallon of ice cream.

Come back later and we'll all pretend this didn't happen.

God only knows what a man knows.

Many, including me, call that statement Blasphemy.

God only knows what a man knows.

Wait a minute, here...I thought God was omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Now he only knows what a man knows? Wouldn't that qualify as blasphemy? I thought we were all holier-than-thou Bible-thumpers. I agree, someone has definitely been partaking of the herb a bit too much.

I don't recall directing that post to you. Perhaps you should mind your own manners a little more, seeing as you pontificate so. And while you're at it, perhaps you should work on not being so condescending. It is very unbecoming for a fool to attempt to be a pedant.

Yes, I agree. That statement qualifies as Blasphemy. That is unless our friend here is Christ, in which case "man" can refer to himself and the statement becomes self evident.

I now await his answer to my question.

He won't. Now that he's been caught committing blasphemy, when his original intention was to proclaim how faithful he was, he's going to try and deflect the heat by picking another minor argument, such as upbraiding me for interrupting when I didn't post to him. And being a condescending boob, since he's obviously read my profile.

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in our friend. Not even 50 posts, and he already had rope enough with which to hang himself.

I never have understood why some people seem to feel that God and Science MUST be diametrically opposed, and that to believe in one is to automatically deny the other.

I do not believe there proplem between God and true science. I guess science is what man understands of Gods laws, but note what man concidered science 100 years.

Okay, so you're cool with Newton? Kepler? Galileo?

Well, Let's take these in order shall we?
Newton - I like him. Makes cool cookies.
    Kepler - He's too Mysterious
    Galileo - Figaro?

Not Einstein? Heisenberg? Planck?

    Einstein - He's too square
Heisenberg - I always thought his ideas were too indeterminate.
Planck - I used to agree with him, but then found him to not be constant.

Anything else I can help you with? :-)
