I keep hearing from different people that the economy is getting better but everywhere I go, I cant find any jobs! I been unemployed for about seven months. I was fired from mcdonalds because I couldnt cook very good or fast enough. Ive tried getting jobs in different places. I tried applying for work as a janitor, a waiter, a secretary, a housecleaner, a bricklayer, a carpenter ETC. I cant get anywhere and I dunno why? Where are the jobs? How can I get a job fast? I have a highschool diploma and three years of college. I could really use some help.
Come to Northwest Arkansas. Employers will throw job offers in your car if you drive through with your windows down.

Chris? Weren't you once called JJ? Maybe your name was John Martineu?
I guess part of the problem is being fired from McDonald's. I mean who would want to hire someone who cant even hold a job at McDonald's! I certainly wouldn't hire you to clean puke from the toilets if you were the last unemployed person/thing on the planet!
First of all, et yourself a good resume. Try Googling some advice from voc instructors and download some resume building software. They also sell them at Staples and Walmart for nine dollars.
Second: don't make any mention that you ever worked for McDonald's. I used to work for McDonald's and the only time anyone ever got fired was for being obscene or talking back at the manager. Nobody will ever hire you. Say you worked somewhere else instead.
Third: go around town, take a walk. Look in all the storefronts, offices ETC. and inquire if they are hiring. Drive or take a bus to another town if necessary. I recommend looking in towns within an hour from where you live. Don't visit anywhere you posted a resume that you were fired from McDonald's. They will know already. You may want to change your name again and maybe move to another town. It's hard I know but don't worry. You'll make it somehow... I guess.
Bump for the evening crew!
I thought sleep deprived smiley was :}
Wait.. that's the "twisted" smiley.
Nevermind.
*Chuckle*
Unfortunately for Scourge and myself, we both think this kind of stuff up naturally regardless of sleep state.
The only effect lack of sleep has is in the amount of weirdness and surreality it has in it.
You need 4 yrs of college to work at McDonalds, Einstein. Now gets back to school and gets dat diploma!!!
I'll pray for you guys.
Thanks.
We need all the prayer we can get.

I think it does, in a roundabout sort of way.
That honor-and I may be alone in this opinion-belongs to Life Stinks.
I liked "The Princess Bride" and "Spaceballs"...
Oh, never mind.
Princess Bride is a Rob Reiner flick, not one of Mels.
I know, but I liked them.
