Also, they shipped a movie to me on the 22nd. It didnt arrive as of yesterday, the 27th. So I reported that to BB, and again they gave me the option of resending me the same movie, or sending me the next item in my queue. I chose for them to resend the same movie (Netflix just doesnt have it, otherwise I would have gotten it from them).
You shouldn't have called them 'french'. If they're not they'll never forgive you.
So I reported that to BBMaybe you should report it to the BBB.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll continue to walk in once a month or so.
I flat won't deal with Blockbuster. I returned a video game to the store the same time as a few movies I rented. It wasn't logged in as having been received for two weeks. Then they tried to charge me late fees. My friend had a similar problem with the same store only the game disappeared all together and the store tried to charge her for it. Obviously someone was taking returned games. The manager didn't seem to understand why I was upset that he had an employee problem after all he had taken the charges off my account. I never rented from them again.
bump
Thanks for the heads-up.
Now waiting on 2 more movies. One of which was sent on the 26th and the "estimated arrival" for that one is today, the 29th, but it didnt come in todays mail.
The third one was shipped on the 28th and has an "estimated arrival" of Feb. 1
Of course, that last one was the one that was supposed to have been shipped on the 22nd, but went missing. So I had them send me a replacement.
There is a real simple solution. Contact your bank or your card company and tell them to reverse all charges, that you ordered something and it was not delivered.
Send a letter to blockbuster by regular mail (siginiture service) advising them you have cancelled your subscription for non-delivery of service. Thank them and move on.
Next question: Why are you paying to watch movies that you have to return when you can buy them on ebay for less and retain them in your library.
I can never figure out why people will be $3 or $4 for a movie they can only keep for three days when for the same amount they can simply keep it.
Perhaps they have friends in Nigeria and they're just getting even with you. : )
Netflix rocks.
I have never waited longer than 2 days for a new flick or a return to be acknowledged. Usually 1 day.
Cheap, too.
I have been with them for at least 2 years.
"Down with BB! Down with BB!"
Apologies to George Orwell.
Maybe one of those Nigerian e-mail scammers that you scammed is now working for Blockbuster?
You belong to both Blockbuster and Netflix? How do you have time to watch that many movies? and how do you find a constant stream of movies you still want to watch?
We had Netflix, and ran out of movie we wanted to watch within a couple months.
