My complaint email I sent to their customer service:

I've been a member of this service of yours since Dec. 13, and I've gotten only about 12 discs in the mail so far.
The last time I got a movie in the mail from you guys was about 11 days* ago!!! (And that took about 5-6 days to ship!) Thats right. 11 days has passed, and I havent received one single DVD disc in the mail from Blockbuster. Why is that? (I'm also a member of Netflix and in that same amount of time, I've gotten 7 discs from them, so the blame cant be put on the post office on my end).
Also, you have sent me an email telling me that you have received back from me "One Step Beyond: Disc 11". And you thanked me for returning it. Well, I have some news for you. I NEVER got that disc in the mail. I reported to you that disc as missing TWICE in a row! Thats right. I had it in my queue, you shipped it to me, so you said. About 7 days went past and I reported it to you that I didnt get it. You gave me the option of resending the same movie, or sending the next item in my queue. I chose that you resend me the same movie. And you did. And another 7 days went by and I didnt get the replacement as well! So I reported that to you too, this time throwing up my hands in frustration and choosing the next item in my queue instead. (We'll see if that one comes in). And yesterday I get the email from you telling me that you have gotten "One Step Beyond: Disc 11" back, thanking me for returning it! Well, I never saw it. Never got it in the mail. Never had my hands on it. And now you got it back. Well, congratulations. At least one of us managed to get their hands on it.
This is one strange service. I pay you money, I don't get any movies in the mail anymore. Someone on your end, either a postal worker or an employee of Blockbuster, is screwing up and/or stealing discs from you (and me).
When you opened up 13 more distribution centers, I thought that the service would improve. Instead, it's all gone downhill. First it was taking as much as 5-6 days in shipping, now its no movies at all for 11 whole days.

Thank you for contacting Blockbuster Online Customer Service.
We appreciate you taking the time to notify us of this issue. This was likely due to problems with shipping, such as the envelope being damaged in transit. If the post office does not have the portion containing your shipping address, they automatically mail it back to our distribution centers.
Please add this movie back into your queue if youd still like to watch it. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
Your Friends at Blockbuster Online

Blah, blah, blah, blah.
Bastards, thieves, con men, blackguards, low lifes, crooks, maggot infested filth, french.
Also, they shipped a movie to me on the 22nd. It didnt arrive as of yesterday, the 27th. So I reported that to BB, and again they gave me the option of resending me the same movie, or sending me the next item in my queue. I chose for them to resend the same movie (Netflix just doesnt have it, otherwise I would have gotten it from them).
You shouldn't have called them 'french'. If they're not they'll never forgive you.
So I reported that to BBMaybe you should report it to the BBB.
I'm about to.
maybe you should spend your $ and get your dvd somewhere else?
I did. I joined Netflix on Dec. 20. Seven days after joining BB. And so far I have gotten from them 25 films! (3 of them in todays mail)
Their (Blockbuster) retail stores and policies are terrible, Go Hollywood Video..and now Blockbuster wants to take over Hollywood Video..yulk!
Nah. I'd rather be robbed.
That is good news. Thanks for the info.
Just be glad ya didn't get a rewind fee from em for yer DVD's !......:o)
Thanks for letting us know how bad those services really suck. I'll just buy em off the shelf.......
Service, singular. Blockbuster is the one that sucks.
Netflix is GREAT. I got nothing but praise for Netflix. The usual delivery time from them is 1-2 days.
For example, I'll return three movies to Netflix, on lets say Monday. They get it the very next day on Tuesday (one of their distribution centers is only a few towns away from me). They send out my next three selections that very same day. I get my next DVD choices in the mail on Wed.
Sometimes, only sometimes, they cant ship out the very same day they get my returns, so they send it out the very next day, which I am still happy with.
Thanks to Netflix I've saved tons of money on rentals and managed to see movies and tv shows that I would have to otherwise buy instead of rent because the usual rental stores simply doesnt carry the title (theres just so many titles they can stock on their shelves).
Understand....I just like to keep a libary of the DVD's for rainy days etc....so I purchase vs rent.
Stay safe !
A guy I know uses NetFlix. Says he sends the movies back on Monday and has new ones by Friday at the latest. Fantastic service, and I am thinking about dropping BB as my vid provider as I can never get the movies back in time. If I rent 3 movies/ month and get even one back late, it is the same price as NetFlix...JFK
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll continue to walk in once a month or so.
I flat won't deal with Blockbuster. I returned a video game to the store the same time as a few movies I rented. It wasn't logged in as having been received for two weeks. Then they tried to charge me late fees. My friend had a similar problem with the same store only the game disappeared all together and the store tried to charge her for it. Obviously someone was taking returned games. The manager didn't seem to understand why I was upset that he had an employee problem after all he had taken the charges off my account. I never rented from them again.

Thanks for the heads-up.
