That's good. We'll see what the results are.

Good news. Never thought that scenario was much beyond rumour anyway.
Not intending to be argumentative, but you really shouldn't try to equate the pro-lifers and Catholics as Taliban types. Ain't even close. Let Andrew squawk like that. I prefer Glenn Reynolds take on them.

Michael Schiavo has just requested that the Medical Examiner erform a full Autopsy on Terri as soon as she is dead.
That is big of him I hope he also allows Dr Baden to attend.

Not intending to be argumentative, but you really shouldn't try to equate the pro-lifers and Catholics as Taliban types. All of them certainly aren't, but all those clowns out there with Randall Terry were almost certainly either fundamentalist fanatics and/or Catholic fanatics.
I gather from the press conference that it is Michael Schiavo's intent to release the autopsy results to prove his side of the story. Shortly after we should have top pathologists like Michael Baden reviewing the findings on the tube.

I hope it's illuminating. It would be nice to *know* something accurate about this sad case.

How many people who are completely innocent are on Death Row today because her great skill was matched against a near incompetent public defender? If forced to bet I would say "None." Grace was a skilled lawyer. That's all.
I'd also wager that the number of completely guilty criminals walking the streets today compared to the number of "completely innocent ... on Death Row today" is about a gazillion to none.

Just been waiting for that beignet and coffee, Darlin'. How's it going?

I'd also wager that the number of completely guilty criminals walking the streets today compared to the number of "completely innocent ... on Death Row today" is about a gazillion to none. Yep, but errors in either direction are no reason to overthrow the best legal system man has ever developed.

Agree, but the right to carry the title of "Judge" should require good judgment. Lately, many with that title have demonstrated lots of judgment, most of it flawed.
To: catpuppy; Darlin'
I think your enforcement of undress dress codes would be most excellent. I'm sure Darlin will agree.

Randall isn't a particular favorite of mine. I could imagine him and Michael Schiavo's lawyer being put in a bag with a rooster and a snake and being dropped in the water for some kind of justice.........

I dread tomorrow's local news. The winds and surf the last couple of days have been just like those two years ago when seven or eight people died along these beaches in one afternoon. Sadly, the day has been filled with the wail of sirens from ambulances and fire trucks, normally a sign hereabouts that people are ignoring the red flags and risking their lives in the water.

I'd like to bid for the Video Rights on that one.Bring lots of money and be prepared for a bidding war.

I can't stand Randall Terry he ruin it for every one with is go get'em mentality....and this force praying in public it is nauseating!
We need to iron this out in our constitution so all are able to exercise their free will, but not over another!
You want to check out and not linger on forced life support, there is a natural order to things and folks should be allowed to follow it!
I am just afraid of force Euthanasia/Eugenics for those consider to be intrusive obstacles!

" Nully's subsequent economic enslavement in the chains of my Social Security entitlement notwithstanding, the rest is history." Well, I'm glad you're still among us. Just think of all the important training you've given these young whelps around here. What would these boys have done without you? Swervie still has a few rough edges though. Nully will manage somehow.

Terri Schiavo's DeathGeorge Felos, perhaps trying to ease his guilt and improve his image as a heartless ogre, went before cameras and fed the world one of the biggest lies it has ever heard. He related how peaceful and beautiful Terri is as she lay dying. I guess if dying of dehydration and starvation is so lovely, perhaps we should all die that way. Perhaps we should give that option to criminals on death row. We certainly should stop being concerned about the children in poor countries dying of starvation. George Felos has told us its a great way to die.
All of the chaos surrounding Terris impending death isnt just about Terri or her family. It is about what we as a society are going to be willing to accept in the future.
You should be afraid, very afraid. The day will come when euthanasia will no longer be voluntary, but it will be the law. When you are no longer a viable contributor to society, you will be judged a burden and that will be a death sentence. When your family decides they dont want to be bothered with you anymore, its the end of the line. What and who--are we becoming
