Prayer Request please
no more apples | 1/11/05

Posted on 01/11/2005 2:55:42 PM PST by no more apples

I would like to ask my FRiends to please pray for my husband's grandmother, Florence. She was admitted to the hospital tonight and the nurse indicated to me that maybe her time with us would be coming to an end. Please pray for my husband, as well. He loves her so.

Florence must be a sweet lady to have a grandson who "loves her so." The Lord has blessed him with pure, unconditional love, and may the Lord comfort him in remembering this beautiful relationship.

Thank you all so much for your prayers.

It's 10pm and I just spoke with my husband who is still at the hospital. Florence had been living in a health care facility and I went to visit her after work today only to find out she had been sent to the hospital this morning with a septic infection. She's also having trouble with her heart - probably as a result of the infection. They're trying to get her hydrated.

Her daughter hasn't been in to see her. But that's not unusual, unfortunately.

BOOK of PSALMS
Chapter 23

23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.

23:3 He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

GOD BLESS

Prayers and peace be with you and your husband and his grandmother. My father is close to going home, as well. We must remember to be thankful that there IS a home to go to.

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Heavenly Father, we return with praise that we can knit our hearts as one for Florence ... touch her with healing, O God, that she might continue to be a source of love and comfort for those who love her so. May the medications given to her reach every infected cell, sweeping away infection and distress. Strengthen her heart, Merciful Father ... give her endurance unto complete recovery. Look with mercy upon this family, O God, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

May God give you and your family peace and strength. May He guide the doctors and nurses who care for your husband's grandmother, and bring His awesome healing power, in Jesus' name.
