~The Dragon Flies' Lair~XVII~
January 9, 2005 | bentfeather and Poets of The Lair

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Old English can be both a joy and a puzzle to read. LOL

The sun is shining here now so that is encouraging along with the blooming snow drops in the back yard.

PRECIOUS LITTLE THINGS..... Little things they mean so much, a card a kiss a tender touch. Little moments to me dear. A tear a sigh, wish you were here.

Precious poem written in gold
hold the heart like a bar of old
they in their precious song of love
remind us of the turtle dove

In The Chapel, bells were ringing, mixing with the children singing. Fresh cut flowers for the morn, White cut rose buds without thorn. In the tower birds were winging, harmonizing with the singing.

In the towers tall and lofty
winds blow through columned space so softly
setting sun in lavender sky
a carpet of stars before my eyes

And in the hollows of the dell
bells are tolling oh so well
with saddened memory
sings the rill
as whispering pines moan
down from the hill
will you, will you, love me still,
in the age of old ended will?
Will my heart sing oh so free
or bound inside the very heart of me?
