Black holes may regulate galaxy formation
U.S. and German scientists have used a computer model to show
how the behavior of black holes can regulate the growth of
galaxies. Scientists at Carnegie Mellon University and the Max
Planck Institute for Astrophysics found black holes release a
blast of energy that fundamentally governs how their surrounding
galaxies evolve and how they grow themselves. As galaxies formed
in the early universe, they also formed small black holes at
their centers. The black holes merged and grew, sometimes to
masses a billion times larger than the sun, making them
supermassive black holes. When the scientists simulated the
collision of two galaxies in the process of forming, they found
when two supermassives merged, they ignited a phenomenon called a
quasar, which energized the surrounding gas so much it blew
completely out of the galaxy. In this process, they said, smaller
black holes in smaller galaxies quickly blew the galactic gas away,
thereby limiting the number of stars and their own size. In larger
galaxies, however -- such as the Milky Way -- supermassive black
holes not only could grow bigger, but they also could not eject
all the gas. This is why, the scientists said, smaller galaxies
make fewer stars and larger galaxies make more stars.
This is so pretty, thank you from my heart Helga.
It reminds me of my Grandmother and all her doilies and things that she crocheted
I have them now and I use them and her tablecoths. She even crocheted the trim on my sleeping pillow cases. Her fancy work lives on.
I see her hands in my mind at work, always busy, always moving.
She had a jar of assorted pens. She always placed this jar and a writing tablet on the kitchen table when I came visit. She worked with me on letters and writing cursive. For fun, we drew seagulls and doves, but always with the selection of pens. I like to write and share, to this day I like to write, especially on paper. I write to several elderly people who have never used internet. They are all in their nineties and they are still able to write. Some have hand writing that is so personified and some simply scratch ~ I love you.
The gift of a hand written letter is something to cherish and save, especially in these times we live in now, and then.
* I can`t go back to look at Texas Song Writers poem until I send this, but as I wrote the last line, didn`t he say something about `now and then` in his poem today?
So I believe if he did, well something is pouring from Heaven in here as it flows ~

I like surprise endings. ;-)
HA! I knew that would rattle your

good comeback ;)
I had a morning message for All, then we had this Jolt of an Earthquake here in Alaska, I was bumped off my service supplier and lost everything I wrote!
I`ll be back....
Lovely words.
Good morning Bentfeather :)
and all Hearts here. :)
I am a nut today! I am also having a real problem connecting and posting, the service has gone off several times and now I am out of time to play here.
I tried to get SamWolf`s goat this morning and even missed his comeback was to your earlier post! hahaha but it would have fit my goat post too, as I had a story.
I will try and visit later, maybe evening.
I hope everyone has a special day,
with surprise endings *
HaPpY ones! :-)
