My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Dog Haiku

Look in my eyes and
Deny it. No human could
Love you as much I do.

Good morning!
Nice little poem today, thank you.

Groundhogs do not predict the change in Texas. The trees are budding and it snows in the morning followed by rain in the afternoon and sunshine the next day. As the saying goes: If you do not like the weather here just wait a day or so; it will change.

THE PENCIL

The pencil on the table
Your face is in my mind
The way youre looking to me
Gave birth to the dead inside
Yet the pencil is silent
There is only the will
To draw the curves of your face
To feel your skin.
I saw you in my dreams.
It was so clear and pure.
And here you shine again.
The only dream I had
Is the one I shared with you.
The others I forgot,
The wind tarred them apart
And the dream lifted me up
Waked the artist inside.
The pencil kissed the paper
So tender and so sweet
Gave birth to those purest
Stars anyone will ever meet.
So charming and so warm
The pearls were dropping down
Giving life to those flowers,
Blossoming all around.
And on the paper it carved
The traces of your soul,
The wonders of your sorrow
The sweetness of your faith.
The pencil left the paper
Yet there is more to draw
No one should ever see it
But in our hearts we know
And on the edge of darkness
It was cold beside you
It was ever dead, yet
It lived for seeing you.
And on the paper its soul
Was poured, beneath your tears.
Yet on the paper it died,
long time ago.

Male finches save singing for likely mates
Researchers say they've discovered male songbirds adjust how
much they sing depending on their need for a mate and the
likelihood they will attract one. University of North Carolina
researchers said Cassin's finches, which breed in California,
displayed frugality in singing the most when they lost a
prospective mate, but singing very little when they already had
a mate or when females were unlikely to be nearby. "But the
story gets better," said lead researcher Keith Sockman of the
study published Wednesday in the journal Biology Letters.
The study also discovered "males somehow ascertain female
fertility and sing the most when trying to attract the most
fertile females," Sockman said. "Thus, males temper their
efforts in attracting a mate depending on the likelihood of
a payoff."

Hi, Lair! Back from my business trip - I hope everyone is doing well this morning.
Here's an old favorite of mine for your perusal. Have a great day!
My Dear and Only LoveJames Graham, First Marquis of Montrose
My dear and only Love, I pray
This noble world of thee
Be governed by no other sway
But purest monarchy;
For if confusion have a part,
Which virtuous souls abhor,
And hold a synod in thy heart,
I'll never love thee more.
Like Alexander I will reign,
And I will reign alone:
My thoughts shall evermore disdain
A rival on my throne.
He either fears his fate too much,
Or his deserts are small,
That puts it not unto the touch
To win or lose it all.
But I must rule and govern still,
And always give the law,
And have each subject at my will,
And all to stand in awe.
But 'gainst my battery, if I find
Thou shunn'st the prize so sore
As that thou sett'st me up a blind,
I'll never love thee more.
Or in the empire of thy heart,
Where I should solely be,
Another do pretend a part
And dares to view with me;
Or if committees thou erect,
And go on such a score,
I'll sing and laugh at thy neglect,
And never love thee more.
But if thou wilt be constant then,
And faithful of thy word,
I'll make thee glorious by my pen
And famous by my sword:
I'll serve thee in such noble ways
Was never heard before;
I'll crown and deck thee all with bays,
And love thee evermore.

Happiness
Soft afternoon eyes
I am his happiness,
his shimmering sun
on a deserted day
his unassuming laughter
and afternoons soft in love
are missing today

A song from the heart will be answered with a blessing on
the head. I've been blessed trying to repay my Heavenly
Father for his gift to me.

Bonus Quote
I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of
the freedom of the people by gradual and silent
encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden
usurpations.

The Moon Watchers
Tonight we awaken the moon
for in his heaven, we the star watchers
touch fire and life
turning
the Northern Lights on
looking for love...desiring more time
to keep safe and true in our heaven.
Everything we need...is in the stars.
