My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

"I Have A Handle On the Situation"
GM, Sam whoa, you have been around early today! Busy day at the store I hope.
Thanks for today's poem and tunes.
I know Oregon is warmer than NY today. :-)

Here's a fun thing I wrote some years ago.
Voice of Experience
or Bentfeather Speaks
:O)
Puffball dust
and cinnamon
are similar in color
But puffball dust
sprinkled on toast
does not taste
like cinnamon!
Bare foot in dry
brown pastures
can be very risky
Bare toes exposed
to dry thistles
may add to
August woes!
Pansies gone
pinks are waning
The Garden of Delights
is a shame!
Fiddle Head ferns
are turning brown
weeds have taken over
Clematis covered
by the gourds
tendrils
choking Four o' Clocks
across the aisle
Seems nature is
at war in the
backyard.
One bright spot
the gourd is blooming
each night... white flowers
and in time, I'll have
little gourd-lettes
on the vine!

THE OCEAN.....I taste the spray of The Ocean, Ti's' but a hypnotic potion. I feel the sand at my feet, A union so perfect so sweet. I smell the salt in the air, Perfumed from a deep bed with care. I hear the roar of the tide, now echoed from whence it had died. I see this magic so bold, Thous now I am it's captive to hold.

Have We Evolved?

If we came from an ape, we're in pretty bad shape
It's kind of like the raisin that came from a grape
We call them an animal, but who's the smarter mammal
Have you ever seen a guerrilla smoking a camel
For argument sake, there had to be a mistake
How much prozac does a monkey have to take
But if the theory is true, our intelligence grew
So why do we do all the dumb things we do
There've been no cases filed, out in the wild
About a chimpanzee who's been beating his child
The evolution track, put us ten steps back
Apes don't steal bananas to buy more crack
I'm sure monkies would agree, we ruined the family tree
We're the branch that puts people like Jerry Spinger on T.V.
Next time you're at the zoo, here's a project to do
Go tell the monkies that they're smarter than you
