The Hobbit Hole XVIII - Though we pass them by today...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Though we pass them by today...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'll check back later.

Luke's the only other one up so far. And he's deciding he wants to open up ~everything else~ he hasn't played with yet.

I suppose a Chia Pet could be considered gardening...

You went to the gym at 6:30 on your day off?

You're a better man...er...dwarf...er...

You're better than me!

Good day! I am working on regaining my music library. Maybe we'll go do something today.

Still doing upgrades here. And carrying a notebook around with me to write while the upgrades run. Easy to be sneaky with pen and paper...

Only four more pages and I get to start in my new notebook! It's a nice one...I'm excited. A little silly perhaps, but there it is.

And a minor character has just decided NOT to be a minor character. He's pretty cool. NOT a love interest...but cool. He'll be a good plot revealing kinda guy - say things right out that I want to get said. If that makes sense.

Coolness!

I got to about 61k last night. Hoping to get some done today, too.

Maybe I'll plan my square foot garden...that'd be the same as yard work...right?

Planning is the most important part! Saves you LOTS of work later on. ;o)

Hopefully we'll watch the second disc of the EE tonight! And I should get in a little bit of writing as well. At least finish transcribing, if I haven't already. Once it's written, typing it in doesn't take that long.

I wish I had a nice fire to sit in front of at home, though. That's so...inspiring, somehow.

Mmm, yes, I like fires. So cozy and warm. Good for cold winter nights.

I'll be taking my sibs out if we can just come up with A Plan. Funny how we can't think of anything to do.

Heh...I know the feeling. Either we have about ten plans and everyone things theirs is best, OR no one really knows WHAT we should do. Usually, as the oldest I'd end up saying "THIS is what we'll do," and then have it smacked down as the one thing they definitely did NOT want to do.

*sigh*

Exactly....

So far, they want what they want and shoot down my additions, even my additions like "I could go by the bank and close out my old checking account". Bah.

Well, here is some news of little significance to anyone but me and my immediate family...

After several months of misery, my hair loss seems to have ended. Thankfully, no more wading through drifts of hair, no more constant vacuming, no more wads of hair in the drain screen and in my hair brush. For the last few weeks, I've had noticable decreases in the amout in the drain screen when I wash my hair. Now I would call what is showing up there to be a normal amount.

HOTD, since your wedding, I've probably lost 2/3rds of my hair. Thankfully, it was all over my head, not in just spots, so although I notice it and Steve notices it, nobody else does.

I am pleased about that! That would be really distressing, and I am glad you think it has stopped. Any idea why?

I suspect it was the Atkins Diet, although it could simply just be an "over 40" thing...I've got a lot of little quirky things that seemed to have started happening just within the last couple of years or so...unusual, but seemingly perfectly natural. Like that irregular heart beat...

I always had this idea that I would have long grey hair...got alittle concerned when it all started falling out and Steve was really wanting it cut (it really made a mess EVERYWHERE).

Now maybe it will all grow back in grey!

Hmmm... and it's stopped since you've started taking your "cholesterol medication"... coincidence?

Just kidding.

LOL!! I'm so nervous I don't need to pull my hair out, it jumps out on it's own! LOL

It seriously came out roots and all when it was coming out. It was really awful. I had a LOT of hair and it would just like fly off of me.

Glad it's stopped, whatever the reason!

And count yourself fortunate...there's no WAY I could lose two-thirds of my hair without it being vey sadly obvious!
