I smell a lawsuit.
Somewhere, a python has a full gut...
Well, at least now they have an excuse to get a real dog. If you want a ratty little thing, you might as well get a cat. At least a cat grooms itself.
For your doggie ping list
Looks like the pet shop/grooming service will soon be under new management.
The real issue here is that a person is sick enough to steal a Pomeranian.
Who would do that? Only a person demented beyond help. This person needs to be locked up. Unless of course they stole it to feed their pet snake. Then that'd be alright.
So VERY VERY sad. Makes me want to go home and hug my dog (she's a Basset).
And ... some of those posting here need to get a heart; vicious.
I hope they get their dog back. Typical of someone today to see something they want and think they're just entitled to take it.
BTW, Rodney: If you can't not be a dick, migrate to DU. They like your kind of nasty over there.
Pomeranian = Miniature rabid badger
However, every snarling Pomeranian I've known has had someone that loved it dearly. These people didn't deserve this.
(Much like I thought after the Laci Peterson and Lori Hawking murders, I suspect the husband. No Pomeranian has enough love for two humans.)
Every parking lot in America does not have a camera. This one is in a large strip center and when I served on the Sugar Land 4B Corp. Sugarland Properties was talking about cameras but the 4B only agreed to retrofit the mall and I don't think any were ever installed. There may be on on the Randall's a few doors down, IF I have the correct PETCO in mind.
I can't believe all the @$$holes on this thread. This is someone's pet and their loss is very real and painful to them. Such knee-slapping humor here -- NOT.
The sad lesson here is this: never, but NEVER, leave your furbaby in the care of some schmuck whose job pays minimum wage.
They won't get much.... The market value of an adult pet dog is practically nothing, and that is all one can claim for it's loss. Value is at most the few hundred dollars they spent for it as a pup.
The best outcome to expect from the story is that the dog is found... returned or reported by someone with a conscience.
FWIW, I don't blame the store employee, who has never been under any obligation to double check ownership of dogs when people ask for them. So everyone, understand why next time, they will treat everyone with distrust.

If your are going to steal a dog, steal one worth eating. Those little things taste terrible.
Are Poms the teeny tiny sled dogs? I heard that once. Wouldn't it be cute to see a bunch of them pulling a sled?

Now THATS funny, ya gotta admit.
When I first found out that my neighbors had three dachsunds and a Yorkie, I was not thrilled. They are very yappy, but since I've spent more time with them, I've come to love them. I was never a fan of small dogs, but they've changed my mind. They still act like they've never seen me before in their lives when I'm out in the backyard, but when they can get close to me and realize who I am, they're very loving and affectionate. And Noel, one of the female dachsunds, is my favorite. She listens to me better than she does her owners. I've offered to take her off of their hands, but they won't give her up.
This upsets me. I take my much, much loved Corgi to a local PetSmart several times a year to be groomed.
