I used to frequent a very nice coffee shop downtown after work. The college students were gimmicrats, by and large. My adult peers were interesting, well read and decent sorts. Their political theories were ill-advised, let us say, but some of my caffeinated friends didn't talk politics at all. I didn't let the birkenstockers run me off, and I'm happy to say that over the years I learned a great deal about art and science by talking to the right people. Now, my next post will be hellish and dripping with yellow jacket venom, but there you have it.

I am not an addict to Starbucks, just caffeine.Did you know that's why chocolate is bad for dogs? It's not the chocolate, it's not the sugar, it's the caffeine therein. That's why a dog will merrily eat a chuck of unsweetened chocolate. Its not going for the yumminess/sweetness. Its going for the buzzz.

A coffee shop trip is like a trip to the zoo, there are going to be funny smells and crap all over and the monkeys might throw some poop at you. Still, relax and enjoy and a good time will be had by all. LMBO!!! The zoo usually presents some wonderful photo opportunities, too. ;-)

And it will also get you a little spit in your coffee courtesy of the young marxist waiting on you.

What is it with the group study tables at the Barnes and Noble coffee area? I'm not trying to be smart, but can somebody tell me what sort of social construct I am witnessing? Oh, forgive the "social construct." I've been hanging around the birkenstockers too much lately.

Post 80 seemed legit. I am trying to follow his/her replies but am laughing too hard at all of the "flack" comments being posted. It's funny. But hang tight with finger on the trigger.
