I live in a college town in North Carolina, and recently I went into a coffee shop to innocently purchase a cup of coffee. What I instead found was a veritable den of sin, filled with Marxists and DemocRATS. To wit:
-The entire place stunk of patchoulli -Patrons were reading 'Tropic of Cancer', 'The Communist Manifesto', and 'Stupid White Men' -- titles that I would never want my good G*d-fearing children getting a hippie's length away from (of course, not a Bible to be found) -Two women were kissing (of course, I could only tell they were women upon further inspection, if you catch my drift; they seemed to be wearing very comfortable shoes) -Someone was actually playing *bongos* in the corner -The combined annual income of the patrons was less than what I paid for my car
Why is it, dear Freepers, that coffeehouses are controlled by these liberals? Why can't family-loving, G*d-fearing, red-blooded Americans simply get a cup of coffee without having our values completely desecrated?!? Are there any conservative coffeehouses, where this ridicuolousness is not tolerated?
I've noticed the same thing, and it's really quite simple. Liberals love to hang out and talk. Conservatives, meanwhile, are out in the world, DOing things.
Liberals created Starbucks. And ruined/distorted the very image of what it means to grab a cup of coffee. My hero on this topic is Frank in the Ball Park hotdog commercials.
And BTW, Starbucks coffee is about like drinking motor oil as far as I'm concerned. One more thing that flourished because someone declared it to be the "in" thing. I feel exactly the same way about Quentin Tarantino movies.

People are pretty much free to read what ever they like, IMO. Did any of these horrible people attack you or call you names?
Why is it that you never see anyone at a coffee-house read the bible? Have YOU ever seen it? And if you want to be a lesbian in your own home, go ahead; but keep it out of my public space.Shouldn't that be up to the owner of the place?

I noticied the cops in San Jose hang out at Starbucks. We went there after a play and the cops were queue up along the curb.
Never felt more safe getting a cup o' joe (just the regular kind) at 10PM.

Because liberals are too stupid to effectively operate a coffee machine and make ANYTHING productive.
You can get a great cup of coffee ... at home with premium beans and a pot.
Mine was in a high car theft area. We all felt pretty good about having guys with "Auto Theft Task Force" jackets on sitting outside sipping a mocha. ;-)

They used to all be smoking in those places. I wonder if they still do.
A coffee shop trip is like a trip to the zoo, there are going to be funny smells and crap all over and the monkeys might throw some poop at you. Still, relax and enjoy and a good time will be had by all.
