We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Benard Kerik had a conversation with President Bush and afterwards withdrew from consideration for being the Secretary of Homeland Security.
Sprint and NEXTEL have reached a tentative deal to merge worth $36 billion.
A study has been released that show fewer teens engaging in sex.
Justice Rehnquist, despite issues surrounding his health, will swear in President Bush for his second term.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
That's great!!!
But I promised to help with that, and I will. I'm just glad that Max made it.

I have spent a lazy afternoon reading a most fascinating book called Nemesis by Peter Evans. It is about Onassis and his love triangle with Jackie and Robert Kennedy.
This is the most fabulously gossipy but researched book...I cannot put it down.
Based on nearly a dozen sources, Onassis conducted business with the PLO and paid them to NOT hijack his planes. That money made its way into the hands of Sirhan Sirhan who assassinated Robert Kennedy. Over half a dozen people said that Onassis willingly paid for Kennedy's assassination, including Onassis's daughter and his son.
For anyone interested, the Amazon reviews by readers is very high:

But I'm glad that someone finds it interesting. It's a large market. ;>)
I'm going to crash for a combat nap, and be ready for midnight meal preps that start at 2100.
I look forward to seeing my midnight meal customers. I'm going to take my camera and get some pictures, because tonight may be the last night I get to work mids here.
And I love feeding those guys. They actually appreciate someone that takes care of them.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! How precious she is!
Prayers continue for Emily, her Mom and doting grandparents.
I'm sure THEY appreciate having GREAT food.
This book puts to bed the historical lie that Kennedy was the end of the Camelot period. These people's lives were the most messed up of anyone's you will ever hear about.
And that the PLO even back then was actively planning assassinations on American soil is quite surprising to me.
Additionally, Robert Kennedy and Onassis hated each other from back in the late 50's and early 60's. Onassis was involved in an oil deal that would have made the oil take over planned by Iraq when it invaded Kuwait look like child's play.
Onassis had to be stopped and Kennedy was critical in that effort; the men hated each other ever since and history played out from then in some destructive ways.
And, in the interim, I'm getting good gossip :-)
IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!??????!!!
Hope you have more fun than a human being should be allowed!
Many, many happy returns, Miss Molly!!!
Sorry I disappeared. I fed my husband, then cleaned the house quickly, and then we went to my grandson's very first basketball game. What fun! Second and third-graders. The referees were helping coach ("Now remember, boys, at the half we switch goals.") It was very exciting...ended in a tie, and then went into overtime, which (since they are only allowed one overtime in the rules) also ended in a tie...20-20. Best possible outcome for both teams' first game. Our grandson played very well, except occasionally the opposing coach distracted him by bellowing orders to his team, which our grandson sometimes started to follow. LOL!
We took the solar fountain out of the pond today and dropped all the plants to the lower level of the pond. We are now holed up for the evening, since it is getting pretty cold outside and we had our social event last evening.
I'm so happy to hear the good news. Pets sure attach themselves to our hearts.
Thanks for the greetings FRiends. Another year wiser, right??!!
lysie, loved talking to you! Thank YOU, and your timing was just perfect as the episode where I dropped the 2 liter bottle of pop on my foot, followed by getting cinnamon in my eye had passed....
john, ABG, Toby ~~we went to a new restaurant in the area. It was advertised as featuring N'Awlins type food, so naturally I was attracted, plus it was supposed to be low-key, which is fine for a casual Sat midday meal.
Weeellll, it was a typical N.O. neighborhood place on the decidedly "eccentric" side....I had a pulled pork po' boy, and my husband had red beans and rice. The bread wasn't really French...the owner/chef said the local northerners didn't seem to care for it...sigh...and my husband didn't particularly like his red beans and rice served in a bowl...more like a thick soup..than on a plate.
The service was a little haphazard, but the bread pudding was de-lish.
The restaurant was decorated in a quirky way: lights around the windows...stuffed animals...some Mardi Gras themes....small tables and chairs which looked like they'd been rescued from a Goodwill store of 50 years ago...Hmmmmmm.....The chef said he produces gumbo every 2 weeks or so. I may go back for that, but then again....
Utah Girl, I saw the "eyelash yarn " you mentioned. The yarn I'm using is similar but prettier and more interesting I think. The eyelash yarn didn't strike my fancy...can't explain why.
Anyway, I finished the one scarf I've been working on for son #2 for 2 years now!!!!!
So it's time to concentrate on the new creation using the Fun fur, in rainbow colors...
HGTV will replay the WH Christmas special today at 5 ET!!!
Forgot 1 more thing: #2 son will indeed get his inheritance as he sent me...yellow roses!!! What a kid!
I forgot a couple of items when I came to my mom's house, so I persuaded her to take me to the local yarn shop. I asked about the fun fur. They have some gorgeous colors. It is on my list to buy sometime to make a scarf. I keep telling myself 'no new projects.'
And my mom called some friends of mine. One just left after a very nice visit. She brought me the book 'Charlotte Grey.' I saw the tail end of the movie the other night, but I haven't read the book.
The dr says my leg is slowly getting better. So, I have an appointment on Tuesday morning, and I'm supposed do what I've been doing for the past few days. And my mom is telling me computer time is over. LOL.
She promised me tonight that we would turn the lights off and watch for sugar plum fairies in the Christmas tree lights. My favorite babysitter when I was growing up would turn out the lights, put on "The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" and tell us to watch for the fairies in the lights. It is one of my favorite Christmas memories.
One more thing. I know there has been a lot of consternation about the lack of 'Merry Christmas' greetings in a lot of cities in America. As we were driving home this morning, KOSY 106.5 plays Christmas music 24/7. And as an interlude between songs, they did the narrative from 'A Charlie Brown Christmas', where Charlie Brown asks 'what is the true meaning of Christmas?' And Linus answers, quoting from Luke 2. It was excellent to have the religious part of Christmas emphasized as well as being wished a very Merry Christmas.
Baby Emiy is beautiful. Congratulations again.
My eight year old nephew was born eight weeks early also. He did very well, just had to stay until he weighed five pounds. He is a happy healthy smart little boy now.
My prayers are with you and your family.
Just got home a bit ago.....daughter got to leave hospital today and go home!!!...YAY!
Thank you for the picture. It always helps to have a visual of those we pray for. May God continue to watch over Emily Jane!
Mommy got to hold her today, and promised Emily that they would have matching toenails someday.
..Mommy told her red at Christmas and green at St.Patricks Day, and sometimes mommy would braid her hair :)
Emily liked that.
