Maybe "Free Republic" should be changed to "Homework Helpline".

Your computer has search sites blocked? I find that to be odd.
Next, surely there must be a building near you called "Public Library."

You have my sympathies. I don't know how you are going to distill it all down to a single page. There's tons of Civil War histories out there. Find a good one. Then look for a good Bio on Lee himself. He had an interesting life long before the Civil War.

Let's see. "Robert E. Lee was born and later died after living his life."
I'm saving words for a book report.

As entertaining as the thought may be, I don't recommend anything by Harry Turtledove as source material.

Maybe you can help this student with some accurate un-PC information.

My Georgia grandma was Georgia Lee Sims. Funny thing is, her daddy George Sims was a conscientious objector, spent the Civil War in prison for it.

Martin Sheen's portrayal of Robert E. Lee totally blew chunks. Robert Duvall's portrayal was much more believable. And they improved the fake beards in Gods and Generals - no more obvious glue lines.

Ah. You must be in the "social justice" degree track at your local public school.

I bet you a there is a biography on him in your local library. And I bet if you look it up in their catalog, you could find it.
Even if you are going to make pointless vanity posts, could you at least be courteous enough to not put it in News/Activism? You having to write one page is not exactly breaking news.
