The Chaplain on the USS New Orleans was the one who said "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition".

Your loss is Americas.
My Dad passed in 93, he served with Pattons 3rd Army.
But we still to this day have great soldiers.
Let us respect and remember those who are gone while embracing those who remain.
All my prayers.

My oldest brother Al Page was also in Patton's 3rd Army.
He is still alive.
Freep mail me his name and I will see if my brother knew him.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Huntsville
God is taking these old warriors Home one by one, and what a glorious reunion they are having!
These American heroes never die. They are a part of the soul of this great nation, and they live on in our hearts.
May we never forget the sacrifices they made so that we might live free.
Tonight God is holding Don Miller Stroud in His loving arms and saying, "Well done, my son. Welcome Home."

The Greatest Generation is dying too young.
Please let his family know that there are many of us who truly do grieve his passing.

My late father-in-law was in the Pearl Harbor Survivors, I wonder if they knew each other. May God rest his soul and give him eternal peace.
